I am not saying that there isn't elements of racism still in the game, we know there is, but I am sorry...

The only applicable argument I see here is the one Ferdinand raises, Jobs for the boys, your friends, those you know and trust. It applies to LOTS of areas, not just football.

Other than that, it's simple laws of averages, how many Ethnic minorities apply for badges? How many are then good enough, whether it be in an interview or through previous experience? That John Barnes article from 10 years ago, what has he achieved as manager when he HAS had opportunities (Celtic for a start!!!)? What about Ince?

But does anyone talk about the multitude of white ex-players to equally not get opportunities or those who have and failed? No, let's play the Race card shall we! It HAS to be the one and ONLY reason.

How many english managers are there anyway?
Then how many of them are black?
How does this reflect to the amount of players of both ethnicities that have got their badges?
If it is similar then there is no racism. If there is a higher proportion of white, then there maybe a case.

He was captain of the team and got on well with the chairman.
Ince became player manager at swindon without badges.
Once he couldn't play any more his contract was terminated. Mark hughes didn't have his coaching badges when he took charge of wales, Bryan robson no coaching badges when he took over at middlesborough. Roy Keane didn't have all his badges when he took charge of Sunderland.

And since that time where he failed at Celtic then Jamaica and Tramere rovers. What about Ince? It's funny that people think just because there are a few exceptions to the rule there isn't an issue. people were probably saying the same thing in the early 1900's. 'There is no issue with racism, Jack Leslie and Charlie Willams play football and they're black"

Whether people like it or not there are several black people in the game who think it's an issue. Are they all playing the 'race card' with chips on their shoulders?

This! @Mullers has got this one wrong. Sherwood was believed to be highly rated and this has been a result of right friends, who all met him say he is great, he is great talker and has a decent knowledge. Now 2 seasons ago Sherwood, les and Chris have been a team for 2/3 years. Sherwood is the most famous and best talker of the three so it was presumed he was the brains of the operation. However everyone who knows ramsey knows he is definitely the best of the 3. Sherwood from what I have been told got the plaudits from other managers and ours for the U21's, but he wasn't always the main coach he had a part time role and come out for the last 15mins.

I know Ramsey wasn't overlooked because he is Black but because he wasn't the senior member of staff out of the 3.

I heard several times that Ramsey is a brilliant coach but his career hasn't progressed because he hasn't got the right friends and isn't one to call in favours!

I don't think the problem is young black managers, I would extend it to young British managers. Purely because our views on the game are so backdated, when Pearce, Ince and Sherwood have jobs it shows how backwards our coaches are.
