There are some UEFA stats out there that show playing at home in Europe has very little effect on the following game, whereas playing away has a huge one.Argued that until I was blue on the face on here, but always the same ones said it didn't matter a jot. It does. Big time.
United are well and truly out of things now. I just hope they can muster a performance against Chelsea. I can't believe how fortunate we were that Solskjaer initially had such a good run of results, including against us, and that their board gave him the job before the season was over. Imagine the speculation in the media right now about Pochettino if they hadn't have rushed their appointment - Poch gets the better of Guardialo pretty much 3 out 3 games, while the honeymoon period is well and truly over for Ole, but United have made their bed now and even they can't sack a manager a few weeks after appointing him
Great day for us. We've lost twice this week yet it has been a huge week for us!
How anybody can have the temerity to call us legends or spursy, when you look at the others is beyond me. Every time arsenal have a chance to go above us they went the bed. Utd are just hopeless and Chelsea are a one man team.
We've had no stadium no preseason, injuries to every part of our squad, bought no players for 2 windows and we are still better than our so called rivals.
And we're in the champions league semi finals!
Wait till next season, we're going to leave that lot behind!
You're right of course, but those days are in the past for both of those clubs really. The reason they are not called legends is because they have won a lot more trophies than us over the last 20 years. Until we start winning silverware the term will stick, deserved or not.
When we lift that trophy in Madrid, they wont be able to say a word!
Yeah, but then we just post a picture of Poch lifting the Champions League trophy and that will leave them struggling to speak, so much so that they end up resembling a puffer fish with intermittent but severe flatulence. They just move the goalposts and say something else.

Its not just an opinion but a fact.

Great results but it is still tight in the table. Keep the focus. Us, fans, have to do our job as well. Let's not go to the stadium sitting there waiting for the team to score. We have to be with the team, keep the buzz until it's over. Fourth consecutive TOP 3 finish is in our hands. Massive achievment. The whole club - players, fans - have to show it's ours. Just one match at a time. COYS!!!
In a way it’s probably good they’ll get spanked badly by City, the players will have to show a reaction for Chelsea for the crowd and not looking like chumps.United are well and truly out of things now. Yeah how I see it.
Arsenal and United are as shit as each other, difference is that Arsenal have a better/more experienced manager out of the two.
Chelsea will get 4th I reckon although Sarri will do his best to sabotage Chelsea they do have Hazard though.
This is what we should hope for tbh, Arsenal in the Europa League for another year is gold, they have fuck all to spend and they need CL to attract good players.
At least with Chelsea they have a transfer ban and will most probably lose Hazard as well so I'm not sure if CL will make much of a difference to them.
Utd are just shit, CL or no CL, Ole is out of his depth and they'll struggle to attract great players either way, their team is such a mess.
Agreed. He'll be sacked next season i reckon. Means another couple of seasons of confusion for them.
Not going to write Ole off just yet. It's clear that they need to sell off the players that aren't prepared to work for the team and bring in those who are (like we did when Poch came), however I think that'll be more a fault of Woodward if it doesn't happen. And even if it does, it won't come to fruition for at least 2-3 years
Wednesday certainly made my hole weak.
Could all be done by this time next week for top 4:
Spurs beat Brighton and West Ham
Arsenal draw and lose Vs Leicester and wolves away
United lose one of Chelsea or city.
Be great to have it done before Ajax.
