Not inconceivable that both Luton and Forest win this afternoon which would put Everton in a bit of poo.

It's so funny. Every time he's out of work we hear propaganda about how he's perfectly capable of coaching a different, attacking style of football. And to be fair he does speak well in the long-form interviews I've heard. He does go to other clubs and learn about their training methods and approach.

And yet when he eventually gets another job, it's the same old shit.
I do wonder if he tries to apply it in the beginning but for whatever reason doesnt stick so reverts.

Calvert Lewin is awful, such a poor footballer. A real shame Arsenal didn't buy him all those years ago.
Funny when he had that excellent season and football fans were saying he should play instead of Kane or up top with him.

Despite it being clear his all round game was significantly worse

Dyche's first training session with Everton:

"OK lads, I know you're expecting me to tell you to sit off and hoof it to DCL every chance you get. But we're going to surprise everyone by keeping possession and playing it quickly through the lines."

*five minutes later, with DCL getting injured again in the meantime*

"OK fuck that."

I often thought when Dyche was at Burnley, whether he would be different with better players.
No he isn’t is the answer.
Why is it always the British managers who play this sort of football
Cause a lot of them grew up on that. Its deeply ingrained in some of them.

You only have to listen to a lot of the older generation when a team plays out from the back. "Just get it up the pitch".

The younger generation are different though

Ferguson and Redknapp never played like that though

True perhaps it is where they grew up or what they came out of.

Allardyce and Dyche played lower league so would have had a lot os scrappy football.

Redknapp came out of WH, where they tried to play football.

Redknapp also was inspired by Arsenal and Spurs as a kid and watched them a lot.

Pulis, Megson, Allardyce, Warnock etc etc all came from that "stick one on them" kind of environment.
