The Club is delighted to announce it will be returning to Japan for the first time in 33 years this summer.

We will play reigning J1 League champions Vissel Kobe at the Japan National Stadium on Saturday 27 July as part of our preparations for the 2024/25 season.

Strange to only announce the single friendly there. Surely we're not dragging them on another multi-country Asian adventure again?

This set against the recent cancelling of replays in the FA Cup is why people hate premier league clubs.

Oh we are.

Australia at the end of the season

Then a pre-season match in Scotland.

Then we will be in Japan and South Korea for 3 matches - before returning home to face Bayern.

I think this is just how life is going o be going forward for pre-season. Teams have to get all the over-seas marketing done.

Anyone else going to Tokyo? Are the credit cards accepted on the event website in common use in UK?

I have Debit cards, which don't work, even a work Mastercard didnt

Japan was always tricky, but this is 2024..
