First 2 games are rough - Brentford are really decent at home - but I think the run of 3 games after that does make up for a it somewhat. You don't want to play the promoted teams in the first couple of games when they're really pumped but I think Burnley and Shef United games 4 and 5 is quite decent timing.

Need to pick up some points vs them and Bournemouth to get some confidence in Ange's methods.

I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist but away first, last & boxing day plus 3 out of first 4 away?? That doesn't seem right at all.

Well if the beginning is a hard run of fixtures, and the end is a hard run of fixtures, the middle must be a piece of piss right. Right?

Bearing in mind the style of football/instructions etc. will probably take a while to bed in to the players, and how toxic the stadium was for large swathes of the 2nd half of last season, 3 away games out of 4 to start with may not be a bad thing at all.

Yeah agreed, and Ange won’t have sections of home support booing because we concede or because we aren’t winning at half time, not because we’ve had to stop the game to collect seven black balloons from the centre circle.

I think more away games at the start could actually be quite a blessing.

4/6 being away first is weird. Start of our season could be a struggle …
Yeah it’s quite ridiculous that some of the league will have 4 home games in their first 6, and others only 2. Haven’t checked everyone’s fixtures but us and West Ham can feel somewhat aggrieved at that. Arsenal been given every chance to build early momentum once again.

I remember thinking how favourable our fixture list was last season, and look how that ended.

We play each team home and away. Get over it you bunch of whingers.

I love the fact that we play 6 PL games in October and November combined, then 7 in December alone.

I worry about those games, though, especially Burnley away. People expect to be beating Sheffield UTD and Bournemouth and if we struggle against Brentford and UTD and then drop points against one of, or both, Bournemouth and Sheffield we could go into the Liverpool and NLD really under pressure. I’m not expecting a 2 point from 8 game scenario but shit, that is a tough start especially with those away games initially.
