Well... We chose them and then sacked the manager they were to play for before he got a chance. Then got a manager who hated creativity and attacking.

I'd agree with the first bit - certainly a sliding doors moment - but Mourinho gave both Ndombele and Lo Celso chances. In fact Ndombele had the side play through him a good portion of Mou's tenure and it just didn't work out.

Of course how they'd both go in a side that plays progressive, possession based football is quite another question.

If that's not handball, I don't know what is
I thought the same. The commentator tallked about Rice yesterday but the only replay I saw if that it came off Rice's chest/belly more than hand. TAA only won the ball with his elbow. Confused

McKennie is painfully average, as I was telling everyone he was when that crook Paratici tried to sign him for us.

One fact that the pundits never seem to mention is how fortunate Arsenal have been with injuries. There are 8 first choice players who have missed 3 games or less.
you then have Partey and Zinchenko who have played 24/23 games out of 31.
they have played the vast majority of their games with their first choice team
Jesus was the main injury for them, he has played 17/31.
The injury to Saliba has killed them because Holding is nowhere near good enough. Go to the Etihad without Saliba and they will get stuffed.
for any game the max of first choice injuries has been 3 on one occasion, and 2 on some others.
we have been carrying 5 or 6 injured for months now.
They are probably capable of getting a result at City , that City defence is not great when out under pressure .whatever happens next week I expect City to win the title. I bloody hope so, won’t be able to cope with Arteta jumping about like a madman.

8th is suddenly looking likelier this season.
Yup. Looking at our run-in I'm just not sure where the points are coming from. The Bournemouth fixture was the easiest one we had left and we blew that.

I think we very likely lose the next 3 and also at Villa. I can maybe see us picking up points against Palace, Brentford and Leeds if they're all on the beach, but I'd be genuinely surprised if we finished the season on higher than 60 points.

Villa and Brighton are both in cracking form while Liverpool have players coming back and the easiest run-in of the lot. Just can't see how we finish above 7th at this point and 8th looks more likely to me.
