Happy for Norwich. Dread playing them.

Chelsea's 3 points there looking very good.

I agree but I think Chelsea had a very different match to what City had today. I think Norwich tried to go more toe to toe with Chelsea and almost got away with it but they gave Chelsea so much space to play in that day. Not sure another top 6 side will have that same fortune as they will have learnt and they may just be a tighter unit and hit well on the counter like today in such matches.

Chelsea's 5-2 win at Wolves though is a very very impressive result. They still have Loftus-Cheek and Hudson-Odoi to come back also.

Watching the highlights, all i saw were Laporte shaped gaps. I never realised how big he was.

Superb passing from Norwich though, they were so fired up by the time their third came, what a great result for them.

Wolves have been struck down with the Europa curse this season...2nd from bottom, they still haven't won a league game, not flying like they were last season.
Not sure what's impressive about that result.

Didn't know they hadn't won a league game yet. I still think it's too early to establish whether they've lost a lot of what they had but regardless of that I know I'd be very happy if we got that same result that Chelsea did. I think at least for now Wolves away is still going to be considered a tricky fixture to most.

Don't get me wrong, when they're at it they're a bloody good side, but I think anyone who's played them already or playing them soon, has been a tad fortunate.

Sods law we don't play them until December when they're bound to be firing again.

Chelsea and Norwich both freak results. Everything Chelsea touched went in and the game was over before it really begun and on another day Norwich lose by 3 to City

Also, surely Liverpool are long overdue an injury or three? Never seen anything like it. Fingers crossed one or two of their front three pick up a semi serious knock soon. Fuck em

If they learn to defend I think Chelsea will do well. But right now they are so open. Keep in mind that Wolves are yet to win a match this season. At the moment only Norwich have conceded more than Chelsea. This is a big problem, one which neither of those two players will solve. A good result though it was.

Liverpool are also clearly favs with Man city. But they've only played one team expected to finish in the top 10, so yet to really be challenged. It seems like they have hit their stride though, after an unconvincing start.

Currently my prediction for top 6 is still Man City, Liverpool, Tottenham, arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea.

I like what Lampard is dong but I think as the games come thick and fast their lack of depth and strength defensively will be found out. TBH though I think the top 6 is pretty unpredictable right now, and it may well be we see Everton sneak into the mix.

Though I keep changing my mind on Silva and have doubts, the Everton team is only a few midfielders and another CB from being a team comparable to the top six. Though maybe they are still missing that magic to really compete. Though if Richarldson, Bernard or Kean become consistent they could find it within their own team.

Leicester also look good on paper and they do look almost there. Until you look at their bench, which isn't even close to good enough. The other two mentioned at the start of the season, Wolves and Watford, are currently the bottom two. Early days yet. Wolves on paper are up their with Everton and Leicester but....

Yeah possibly mate. I actually personally think it's less to with form and more so with like you said being in the Europa League. Is a massive difference when you have to compete in that and you don't have a full week almost every time to prepare for the next game. Hopefully they'll stay in the competition for as long as possible, for selfish Spurs-favouring reasons and for the good of representing the EPL.

Yeah true they are. They will certainly look to address their CB options as only Rudiger is of the required quality, the others are sub standard. They have Kante to come and feature properly and Lampard will play him in his best position which will help. Funnily enough I actually think Chelsea will be a little like Derby were last season in the Championship under Lampard. Will pick up some impressive results in playing some good football, but will also drop multiple points where they shouldn't.

Liverpool are also clearly favs with Man city. But they've only played one team expected to finish in the top 10, so yet to really be challenged. It seems like they have hit their stride though, after an unconvincing start.

Yeah there's still so long to go, Liverpool had that gap last season that vanished. Like @SugarRay said, the thing that is really favouring Liverpool is their lack of injuries to key players. I honestly think if they miraculously keep such players fit all season again they'll win the league. With Laporte out City are already say, another injury to De Bruyne away from falling even further behind Liverpool.

I think Leicester and Everton will be closest to the pack but I think they will fall behind. Haven't actually been convinced by Everton yet personally, I think those results like the one away to Villa will be a bit too common, they'll drop many points like that IMO. Leicester I do really like, I just don't think they'll have the consistency to stay up there.

The parallels with Burnley last year are quite noticeable...although id say they are a much better side than Burnley.
