Lascelles looks very good and if we can have a choice of Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Lascelles and Dier as our centre backs next season we'd be set.

The relegated sides have shown a very poor attitude this season but this does not mean we should write off every player on their attitude, they might thrive in a better attitude.

Redmond has a lot of ability but I believe he falls a little short of our needed quality level. Wijnaldum is talented but not seen much desire from him.
You don't want to replace Dier with Wimmer? I agree that Lascelles could be a good foil, he looked under Benitez now like he was finally adjusting well to the PL.

Lascelles - who we were linked with before we bought Dier - has got some glowing reviews lately, as much for his attitude and determination as anything else. I'm going to Newcastle on Sunday. Looking forward to seeing him.

I've spoken highly about Idrissa Gueye at Villa. Second only to Kante
In tackles and interceptions. I've watched him several times and feel that he would be a great addition to the team. He could honestly challenge for a first team role and hold it down well.

not that we need him but jordan amavi is a big talent, could potentially take over from evra for the french national team if he recovers from his injury.

At this stage we dont need to pad the squad, we need sprinkle it with the best talent we can. I dont think any of the relegated teams players are good enough for where we are going forward into the champions league.

This topic pops us every fortnight and we should have none of them.
We are going to compete in CL FFS.

Should we not have bought Trippier?
Should Utd not have bought Keane?

Now we are are in the CL should we not be looking at lower leagues and forget finding another Dele Alli?

We should be looking at available individuals that fit our needs regardless of who they play for.

Mitrovic would be better as a back up to Kane than Chadli. But only if he was super cheap.

I wouldn't want anyone from those 3 clubs however there are players that could do a job for other clubs & if I was a fan of middle to bottom half club (which I'm not thank Jeebus) there would be some I'd take.. no point doing Newcastle players bar Colback the only reason any of those players joined them was as a stepping stone to another club.. Jog on

Norwich.. Klose.. made a big difference to there defence.. Hoolahan.. can add a bit of creativity & would be a good squad player for a lower Pl team
Villa.. Amavi has potential & Gil has so much raw ability & bar he is some sort absolute d*ck to have in the dressing room has been criminally under used. Anytime I've seen Villa he looks the only one that could make something happen.

Thankfully we won't have to go shopping at any of the relegated teams.

Mad as a box of frogs. Not sure he'd be a good character to introduce at WHL considering the good camaraderie

Yeah but hed give the likes of costa a bit of grief. Works hard and is young but i see your point. Just putting it out there.
