I'd be interested to know how many points we have gained from a losing position this season.

Surely we are top of the tree for that, this team just doesn't know when it's beat.

We are top of the list... and sunderland are bottom of throwing away points from a leading position!

as said its 20 points.... before todays game it had this

Spurs have the opposite record - recouping 17 points from a losing position

I found that table interesting as it says that City are 17th, getting one win and one draw from a losing position, though reading into it, it basically means that they rarely go behind due to their defensive way of playing.

We're top of the table because we play such an open attacking game, and therefore are prone to letting in goals

Still, it's great to have a team of battlers, even when we're behind, even when we've only got 10 men, even though we didn't sign a superstar striker or Carlton Cole in January, we're still getting the results. Our squad is amazing

We are loving those 2-1 nail-biters this season! I think we've only won by more than one goal twice in the league this season (the Blackburn 4-2 and Newcastle 2-0)

Equally as interesting, we haven't given away a single point from the 85th minute onwards in any game this year-does show how far we've come in terms of seeing a game out and being mentally tough

I noted this trend back in october in the thread 'Coming from behind' http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=66079

I'm sure you'll all agree with me when I say that I love coming from behind.

3 times this season the opposition has been on top, but we have been able to grab the game by the balls and bag the win

Looking back over our last 5 seasons we managed to do this very few times:

2009 - 2010 Once (Away at WH)
2008 - 2008 Twice (At home to Liverpool and away to City)
2007 - 2008 Once (At home to Reading)
2006 - 2007 Three (Chelsea and Wigan at home and away at West Ham)
2005 - 2006 Four (Sunderland, Pompey and WBA at home and Charlton away)

I think the mental strength and confidence to be able to do this is a key part of being part of the top four. It also means I can keep hoping much longer into a game when we're losing than I used to be able to. We just look like we have it in us to open teams up - just as Harry said.

COYS!

P.S. I used Wikipedia for these stats so if they're wrong I'm sorry!

Since I posted that we've also come from behind to win against Arsenal, Liverpool and Sunderland - so a total of six times this season. So 18 of those 20 points are losses to wins and only two are losses to draws (Everton and Newcastle).
So it seems that if we do come from behind we come really hard.

I bet you'd prefer it even if we signed Ba from West Ham.

I have to say that after years of dross its delightfull to see we can now turn games around.

I remember being a Spurs fan of old and knowing that if we were a goal down then the omens were that we would likely lose.

Very refreshing indeed.
