Pochettino Interview, finally!

We caught up for a quick chat with Mauricio Pochettino as he took time out from a hectic week at the Training Centre since taking over as our new Head Coach.

Or maybe, just maybe, an ITK could actually be wrong. I've heard people say BEN isn't reliable as he once was...

IIRC the last we heard was Les would follow Tim, and Ramsey was on vacation but had an offer to come back if he wanted it. Neither have been confirmed though.

That'll do me, no "our aim is the top four" nonsense, the amount of times our staff and players yapped out that line and gave it Charlie big potatoes but never backed it up made me cringe.

So keep them quiet please Pocket-tino, one game at a time i just want us not look a mess for a couple of years

I like the mentions of 'common sense' in relation to football philosophy and adapting. Music to my ears.

He was mentioning common sense in relation to questions about double training sessions. I took it as him and his team using common sense in regards to pushing the team when they see they can get fitness gains from pushing the team and not overly work them which would drop moral and possibly increase injuries.

I think that will be something that he would have told Levy he would work on.

I thought Ferdinand had said Levy told him he wanted Les to stay around in some capacity, but it hadn't been decided what?


Also I liked the bit when the interviewer mentioned double sessions and MoPo said "sometimes triple" with a cheeky grin, some of those guys aren't going to know what hit 'em in preseason!

That was my thinking too. I'm glad he didn't come and lay down an objective in terms of league or cup status, but instead said how he wants the team to try and make us proud. Bodes well and means it doesn't get peoples expectations up (although for some they're probably already up)
