TBH that was impressive. Mentioned his philosophy a lot, and thiat gives me confidence he'll be able to translate it to the players.

Think he could be a very very good appointment.

Also his smile is so happy. He's like a 5 year old boy with the chubby cheeks..:D

I've had this funny feeling all year that he's just having the BBC on with a translator so he can avoid questions he doesn't like.

Sounds impressive, and he seems like a top bloke. Comes across very well in English which is convincing.

It's a relief he comes off as a nice bloke, even cracking a joke or two.

Fantastic news about Steffen Freund. Was worried about him. Gave up a brilliant job with the German youth national team to come here.

Oh, it's absolutely this. I'm sure that he (or someone else from Southampton) said that he didn't speak English to the media so that they couldn't use his unfamiliarity with the language to twist his words.
