Ahead of Saturday's trip to face Stoke City, the Argentine says last season's 4-0 win at the bet365 Stadium made him believe the club's 55-year title drought would end
My belief is that other teams in the run in to last year, concisely or subconcisley liked the idea of Leicester winning the league and dropped there performances against them ever so slightly, and subsequently teams like Chelsea raised there performance considerably to stop us. Once we had let it slip, we did fall to pieces, so in that regard I do hope lessons have been learnt.
It was Leicester's to throw away and too be honest almost everyone was rooting for them too win it.....inc teams that had to still play us both.
So yeah I think there was a bit more of "we cant lose to spurs".....
But saying that the lads started to fade abit and they put everything on the in that Chelsea game and we looked shattered and by the final whistle gutted.....
Afterwards I think some players were mentally deflated.....Some went in holiday mode and some just totally worn out.
But whilst gutted. ...looking at the season on a whole I was so proud of lads/club and think they should be aswell.
