Not really sure what his role is in the squad. If he can’t play as a 6 on a regularly decent performance every week then I’m not sure he fit the squad

He's a seriously talented player and one of the best around when he's on it.

But yeah few things in his game that is a tad worrying alright. Not a fan of the laziness.

I thought he was OK today. Not sure why he has stopped dribbling as much
Yeah he was ok but agreed he isn’t doing the stuff he was earlier in the season. The amount of times he could turn and feed a pass forward or play a sharp pass round the corner to a player and just went back to the cb. The one time he actually risked it and tried something it lead to that chance with werner being one on one.

I think this has something to do with where on the pitch he was doing this earlier in the season. It was often the result of a failed attack and he was turning and running into space 10 yards from the edge of our own box. Since he's come back from injury/suspension/ACN opposition teams are sitting way back on the edge of their own box and so rather than going past players and over the half-way line he's being given the ball on the edge of the centre circle with all of the opposition squeezed into a 15 yard band with no space between them or behind them to run into.

In fact, I suspect the opposition are set up exactly to catch a failed dribble and then spring a counter. The best chances we give to the oppo are from them dispossessing us somewhere around the half-way line as we try to dribble into a tightening noose.

Disagree. Thought we saw signs of the early season Biss today. He must have been knackered when he came off he was everywhere mopping up problems.
Yep I think there's something in this. I'm a keen Biss watcher and as the team upped its effort 0-1 down and sparked into life 2nd half there were a couple of Vertical Biss passes from his best days..a bit of a swerve out of danger too once or twice.

As you say, just little green shoots, not a total return by any means, but 1st signs I've seen for many matches that maybe he's coming back.

It's almost like he is coming back from some sort of illness....

Definitley not fully on it. Thought that myself yesterday. Must be a residual effect of the malaria as he doesn’t look quite as on it as he was before the AFCON.

Yes but as others have pointed out teams are set up totally different against us Vs the start of the season

We came into this season not seen as a threat and Anges tactics not really understood

Now they are most realise unless they are a better footballing side (only a handful in the league) a low block with no space behind is the best approach

Really hard to tell for me whether therefore it’s Bissouma in bad form or he’s just not able to shine as much without the space there was early on

I actually didn't think he was great yesterday but better than he has been. Certainly when everyone upped it second half he was far better

I thought he was pretty good yesterday. Stopped them countering several times and kept things ticking over for us.

He is never going to shine as much against low block teams imo.

Some of the criticisms here is well OTT. The guy is coming back from a serious illness, and I actually thought he had a good disciplined game. I really don’t know what game some were watching
