Didn’t he prefer to play Hojbjerg before Bissouma?
It’s my opinion but I think PEH isn’t a good player. The stats may say different but I don’t like him. Bissouma now showing what we’ve needed in central midfield for a long time.He preferred him up until Bissouma got fit, then they basically shared minutes until his injury.
Keeping in mind that -
1. PEH and Bentancur got us 4th place the previous season as our pair.
2. PEH had his best season ever last season (statistically)
3. Our season only started to unravel in late October/November, up until then we were comfortably the 3rd highest scoring team in the league

He's been motm 2/2 games but I think that's just he's level.
Come on, mate. It was obvious Conte had no trust in Bissouma. His injuries shouldn't be ignored as a reason, but it's not made up that people in here were desperate to see more of him when he was available. Neither is it a made up thing that Conte restricted his game ridiculously much. He never had close to the freedom of reaching yesterday's levels, when playing for Conte. No debate there at all, but the fact of the matter is Bissouma wasn’t frozen out by Conte like many suggest on here. There are circumstances that need to be considered that I’ve outlined and even then he managed a considerable amount of minutes before his ankle injury.
Ankle injuries are notoriously hard to come back from too, the rehab process takes long and he was out for over a third of the season. By the time he was back Conte was long gone.
Like I said, Conte could be blamed for a bunch of things but this just isn’t one of them.
It’s also extremely tedious to open every thread and find people still moaning about Conte and JM instead of discussing what’s happening under Ange. It’s time to move on from our past and focus on what players are doing now under Ange. Constantly comparing to those two is just pettiness. There really is no need for the comparison.
PS. Not having a go at you, just explaining why I made the original post.

Also, I get your frustration in seeing people post the same stuff over and over again, without much thought, when you don't necessarily agree, but you're the one turning it in to a full-on discussion here. People will likely continue with the Conte and Mou stuff for a long time, simply because of the relief in seeing us play positive, attacking football. So, I guess you are fighting a losing battle. Maybe it would be less frustrating to just ignore it? I know that's easier said than done, though.
me and my lad were laughing so much when he did that backheel nutmeg thing. Just a ridiculous baller.
Laughing in joy/disbelief at the skills while watching the footy. Forgot how that felt!
I think people are angry that they were put through so much boring football for seemingly false reasons. No debate there at all, but the fact of the matter is Bissouma wasn’t frozen out by Conte like many suggest on here. I have, and I see a player being used very sparingly (he got the full 90 minutes on three occasions in the league under Conte), so I can understand why people who wanted to see more of him got frustrated.Have you seen Bissouma’s actual stats from before the injury? The game time he was given, knowing that we had a solid midfield duo with both Bentancur and PEH having the best seasons of their careers with us? Ofcourse he was going to have a hard time getting in given that Conte is known for sticking with what works in terms of players.
How on earth that is equivalent to being frozen out is beyond me. Bissy had more than enough minutes before his injury, especially for a new player bedding into a new system.
It’s really not that hard to be impartial and see things from a neutral perspective but people are still so emotional about THAT Conte speech they’ll take any chance to get in a “Conte’s Fault” no matter how much evidence there is to the contrary.
Look, I brought it up because statistics don’t lie. A player saying he isn’t fit and ready isn’t a lie. But blaming Conte for his entire season being underwhelming is a blatant lie. I had to address that.
I would love to ignore those posts and move on to the actual discussions happening but sometimes you have to pull people up on their bullshit or it never stops. The usual suspects take every chance they get to compare things to JM/Conte and it’s just as bad as bringing Levy up in every thread. It’s tedious and frustrating to constantly see this when the majority of us have moved on and couldn’t give two fucks about those two anymore.

I do however agree with you that he was in no way "frozen out." That's just the standard forum hyberbole, I guess.
And again, I get where you are coming from, but I don't agree with your point. Even with the stats, I think it is more than fair to argue that Conte didn't rate Bissouma.
But you are backing up your arguments, and doing so it can actually open the door for fun discussions. So ignore my suggestion of you ignoring the comments. Just don't let it frustrate you too much when people continue in the same way no matter what you say.
He's the midfielder we've needed for years. Top player.
As happy as I am to have him, I'm also terrified of what happens if he gets injured. If he's going to be so important to the way we play this season it's essential that we have a viable backup. Hopefully hojbjerg gets a move so we can bring someone in.
And we just have to mentally block out the 62m pounds we burnt on Ndombele m8 hahaChelsea fans after their club spent €200+ million on their midfield to see Spurs get better players (Sarr + Bissouma) for under €50 million

Of course, we just need to find the right manager, style, cheese room, and enough pillows for Ndomballer right @DiVaio ? hahaSorry mate I have no idea who you’re talking about?
