Would love to know the full story of what went on between him and Poch.
So WTF is wrong with that? Eh?Just watched the little two minute Twitter club video of Alderweireld's reaction to signing a new contract. He's wearing a jacket and shirt with no tie (all fine so far)... and the shirt buttons done up right to the collar! I know he's only just signed the contract, but maybe we should be looking to move him on after all.
Not overly enamoured by this tbh.

It goes with the beard, ink, haircut and general Shoreditch look.
I'm not allowed to get tatts and I haven't enough hair left to do the haircut properly, but the beard and the rest ... yeah, I guess. It goes with the beard, ink, haircut and general Shoreditch look.

Edit: To add some depth to that statement, we've had two/three years of this contract saga where its obvious the goal for him/his people have been the contract running down (and either using the low fee clause or it terminating) and increasing control of being able to move on to bigger things or a bumper payday. Injuries and whatnot have disrupted that along the way and for whatever reason it hasn't happened. To me it now looks like a player out of options, turned 30 and not as good as he was (lets be honest) and declining, and deciding this is the best gig he can get.
Yeah he's still a decent PL centre back and it's good to have one signed up, but forgive me if it leaves a bit of a sour taste.
I can understand the sentiment behind this but I disagree. Not overly enamoured by this tbh.

After what he did a few years ago? Really, Daniel?!?!?
It’s been stated multiple times by multiple people. Poch stuck his neck out for him to Levy. We agreed a new deal then he reneged.Would love to know the full story of what went on between him and Poch.
Verts is a tough one.Vertonghen next please.
Jan is 2 years old than Toby, better than Toby and has been with the club longer than TobyVerts is a tough one.
If it's true about his lack of professionalism towards fitness and conditioning at the beginning of the season then it's very hard for the club to sanction giving a 33 year old anything more than a 1 year contract.
