Ryan Lisney sounds like a bit of an arse! Madrid did not screw Southampton at all, it was their own hilariously incompetent financial/legal team that did the damage. No one to blame but themselves. Welcome aboard Toby :)

Another one:

Does sound like we dropped a bollock here. I reckon that could have been why the legal guy left.

hopefully none of you will think any less of me when I spend a good few hours winding up the saints web forum once this transfer is confirmed.

Who is Sven Claes? He pretty much delivered the knockout blow to their hopes of signing him.

Reading through AM dicked them around so they could get a better offer for TA. I don't think they had any attention to agree to sell for 7m it was never going to happen.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, I don't know about "insane"... Would take a couple more key signings for that

Tomorrow could be insane. I haven't looked forward to a specific day like this Tottenham-wise for a long long time.

He was the other Belgian journo opposite Kristof who's considered reliable, he was a bit less convinced about the deal and Saints fans were hanging onto that.

Announcement tomorrow in conjunction with the NFL news and TA's photo in front of a backdrop of our new stadium visuals would be nice

I'd say the whole NFL signing is pretty 'insane', its the most viable and 'cleanest' way of competing with the top tier clubs without selling our soul to rich oil arabs.

Tomorrow could be pretty significant.

He can't sign for Spurs as we have a contract. You were one of them

Yet here we are and we sat by and let Spurs get much of the deal done before we did anything about it seemingly

He was there for us. The best quality signing in a generation and we blew it IMO

I reckon NFL deal tomorrow, Alderweireld Thursday. Might want to space things out and make sure both announcements get the fair share of attention.
