Son has been off form for a while now but today was the ultimate shit-show. Worst performance I’ve ever seen from him.

Son hasn't looked the same player for months now but still gets picked. That he played poorly today was hardly a surprise as he is massively out of form. Jose must take some of the blame as he needed to bench him long ago and Mason should have hooked him instead of Moura. If you play someone who is short of confidence and out of form, don't be surprised if they play badly.

He has a great record vs City but the one time we really needed him to punish them he wasn't in the game.

2 years left on his contract. I'd seriously consider selling him. Tired of him completely shitting the bed in every big one-off game we have and then crying about it after the game.

He's supposedly is getting a 200k+ new contract. Do performances like that, in our biggest matches, season after season, warrant that? Like fuck they do.

Id be interested to know what sort of performance Son needs to have to be subbed off. Not a chance Moura needed to come off today.

You can't expect Kane and Son to carry the team vs a vastly superior side. Pathetic going after them.
What we expect is signs of passion and work rate for someone who likes to spout his undenying love for this club. Not bottling a 50/50 and then standing there shrugging your shoulders.

By that reckoning should we sell Kane?

Truth is they both have failed to show up in the biggest events. Son has an excellent record vs Man City. He failed to turn up when we needed him to hurt them the most but he's not alone.

They were abysmal. It was 0-0 for 82 minutes, it’s on them to offer something to win it. Son couldn’t pass to anyone and Kane spent most of the game picking his nose

Son has been very poor for a good few months but today was prob close to his worst game in a Spurs shirt.

Would have left Moura on and take Son off but that was never going to happen

I wish I could live in a parralel world and see the reaction if Dele had put in the performances Son has consistently for 6 months. He gets so much slack, I wish our other players were given even 1/5th of the leeway Son is with his performances. Not like Dele numbers before this season were much worse than Son in terms of goals and assists and that is quite literally the only influence Son ever has on games, lives on moments.

Today was a new extreme of poor performance though. I expect so much more from him.

Should probably start off with saying, Thanks Sonny for some amazing moments and some world class performances.

However, when he is out of form and/or the team is struggling he is one the most annoying players I've ever known at the club! I found it hard - when city were playing tiki taka - to not just watch what Son was doing.

He is supposed to be a world class professional and yet can look like the kid at school who hates PE.

I am going to say this, he pretends to press. He runs but cleverly avoids having to get involved with any physical contact (A hint of the Darren Bent about him in that way). And then there is the terrible, terrible quality of passing the ball. Or he loses control of the ball because he gets intimidated by physically aggressive tackling. Together it means almost zero contribution to the team. It's a coaching issue, the team needs to be set up to unleash him, but also if his commitment and technical quality drop as low as it has in recent months, he needs to be hooked. Spend some time on the bench.

Oh my, in those last 10 minutes when our front three were easy street Gareth, "not the face" Sonny and an unfit Harry, so depressing, how on earth I thought are we actually going to win the ball back.
