Reading elsewhere that Madrid have two young LBs in their academy, David de la Vibora and Miguel Gutierrez, that they rate as potential world class talents. It seems a reasonable possibility that in two or three years if Mendy is nailed on first choice and they have a homegrown talent to slot in as backup they may not want to spend a big fee on Reguilon. Also the whole reason Reguilon wants to leave is because he wants to be first choice and he's currently behind Mendy, if that situation remains the same then Reguilon himself may not want to return to Madrid. There's more than enough reason not to let the buyback clause scupper the deal, IMO.
He's saying both. There is a buy back and a first option. He's talking about a first option, not even a buy back. That's great, as it means we're not held into a certain fee.
Although I don't know why Man Utd would have an issue with first option... so maybe he's not being clearHe's talking about a first option, not even a buy back. That's great, as it means we're not held into a certain fee.
Yeah, I see nowHe's saying both. There is a buy back and a first option.
sounds like he needs convincing
The scenes of when we do sign him how SC will spell his name:
Reguilon
Regelion
Regilon
Regulon
Reggie-long
and the pronounciations....
sounds like he needs convincing
We must be accepting the buy back clause then. That's a bit of a bummer
