If that's your opinion fair enough, personally I'd say it was an average/alright performance but everyone is different.
My point was though that I've seen plenty of evidence in the last few weeks/months where on a performance like that, to the criteria I mentioned, Trippier would be/has been getting hammered for it by many fans.
Well we had the same opinion, 6/10 and I understand your point and if I'm honest I think you're picking and choosing points to remember because Aurier has been rippled to shreds similarly and you only have to look at the games vs Burnley, Arsenal away and Watford at home to see people have had similar vitriol to Aurier. So personally I don't see how you can come to that conclusion without completely ignoring half of what people post about Aurier.
My opinion is that there's 1 poster who I think tbf to him just enjoys winding people up, has objected heavily to the criticism thrown trippiers way and claimed that people having a personal vendetta against Trippier whilst simultaneously doing the very thing he complains about towards Aurier. I think that has led people to exaggerate their disdain for Trippier whilst exaggerating Auriers abilities. I feel sorry a bit for Trippier as people wouldn't be so hypercritical of him had a lot of posters not get their nose bent out of place. It's not the first time this has happened with players either. BC used to piss people off with his staunch criticisms of some players whilst giving other players a free pass when they fucked up.
