It was a terrible picture to be fair; but there wasn't any malicious intent at all. Sometimes if the connection is bad I can't tell the difference between Jan and Toby or Kane and All.
I know it won’t have been, but several posters have done it and it’s just a bit silly really.

We can all say that the second yellow was harsh and maybe it was, however that does not detract from the fact that on far too many occasions in his career with us, Aurier dives in or slides in with those two footed scissor type tackles and it more often than not ends up with him being on a yellow card, and the way he does it at times, means that it's often bordering on a straight red. He has also shown a tendency to make these types of tackles inside the box and give away penalties.

Although he had a great game against Palace, it is far more often than not taken as a given by us that he will either give away a penalty or be on a yellow card early on in most games that he is nearly always on a tightrope to getting a red . For his occasional moments of exellence, can we really afford to have him walking this tightrope in nearly every game we play when he is selected, when he is likely to be selected on more occasions, given our situation with th lack of a clear stand out nailed on RB options. Especially when it is evident that he has shown absolutely no capacity whatsoever to learn from the same mistakes With VAR now in play it puts his potential to cost us so dearly even more into focus.

Thought the ref had a shocker today, plenty of fouls on our players that went unpunished.
This 100%. Ward Prowse made three cynical fouls early doors and no booking. Kane dragged down so blatantly and no booking. You just knew as soon as we made a fouls we’d get carded. Granted the first challenge by Aurier was unnecessary, but the second was so soft and no way any worse than the above which went unpunished. All we ask for is consistency but Graham Scott had a fucking shocker.

Why do people insist on saying Aurier pulled back Redmond, several posters have done so and it’s wrong, he pulled back Bertrand, who looks nothing like Redmond, they just both happen to be mixed race.

Maybe like me they have poor eyesight and were seated in the opposite end of the stadium.

I thought Rose scored the volley against palace but it was son. Means nothing, move on

Very unfortunate i thought yesterday, Bertrand went to ground with the softest of contact and we should have had a throw before it, ref couldn't get his red card out quick enough.

So none of the several people who’ve said it have access to highlights?

First yellow was stupid, can't get away from that - it's just senseless

2nd yellow was just bollocks all round, firstly the ball went out - lineman made a mistake, secondly it wasn't even a foul as Redmond ran across him - so I make that 2 errors from the ref and VAR didn't intervene once, what is the actual fucking point.

But regardless of that if he doesn't make that silly foul in the first place we wouldn't be talking about this.

Scott was shocking yesterday letting Saints players off cynical fouls. But I have noticed that Spurs players are getting booked for minor fouls compared with the other teams. Just look at the Arsenal game. I feel that since Poch had the run in with Dean it would appear that there is an agenda.

I don't think VAR can intervene on the ball going out for a throw in.

Pereira with an excellent goal for Leicester just now. What a cock up we decided on Serge instead.

How do I know? Just don’t get the value of going on about it.
I didn’t, I made one valid comment about the fact that two men who look in no way similar, both very well known in their own right, were being mixed up regarding involvement in a key moment in the match, you made it a big deal.

Im not a fan of his but i heard an interesting podcast a while ago with Graeme Souness talking about the great 'Pool team of the '80s and what made them so successful. The part i remember best was a strategy they called 'find the dope' when working on the opposition i.e they looked for players that were likely to switch off for a minute or just crack under pressure. My sense is that theyd have had a field day with a player like Aurier...

Yep. This one really annoys me. Why on earth didn’t we sign him? Would have been perfect for us and made us closer to the top 2 fullback wise.

He’s probably the best technical RB in the league.

A right proper fuck up that one as you know we were targeting him or Aurier... ??‍♂️

I think this was probably a direct result of getting so badly burned on Njie, Janssen and GKN. We basically decided we wanted more "proven" players that had experience of higher level football. At that time Aurier had bundles of CL experience, WC experience, etc, whereas Perreira just had a strong season in Ligue 1.

A big mistake, obviously, and an example of how the disastrous scouting of Mitchell probably was so damaging.

What I don't understand is what the "Fourth Linesman does" surely he saw it, the same way if there is an off the ball incident he alerts the referee. The ball was clearly out of play. Dare I say if the same happens in tonight's match then the play will be pulled back.

Poor old Daniel, he really can't win. We moan that we don't buy the finished article, so he buys Aurier. Then we moan that he really should have bought the less-experienced alternative instead.

Can’t understand how the red wasn’t overturned. The ball went out just before hand. If it won’t intervene in such black and white situations like that, then what’s the point.

Aurier was however very reckless once again. He’s always been a liability, he can be a decent wing back but the bottom line is he’s not really good enough. Selling Trippier without a proper replacement was a huge error imo, KWP isn’t good enough either, and we are massively exposed down that flank in almost every game now.

Iirc second yellow reds cannot be overturned, only straight reds are appealable.
