Notably the blatant.pull down of kane.

That said, I think, if you are on a yellow, risking a second for pulling a player back is brain dead. Mind you, basics of basics, play to the whistle. They all stopped fractionally as they assumed it went off, winks too. But still, a dumb move.

Did Aurier pull him back - i really didnt see the pull... just seemed like they crossed paths and barely

Yes. I thought it was quite blatant. Although I only saw it the once in real time and in a replay. But if the ref saw it as I did, he didnt have much choice. Albeit he was really poor, first half.

Did he even make a tackle for the second yellow or did Redmond just run across him and go over thus getting him a yellow
I’m in the opposite corner of the stadium but it looked like he pulled his shirt from where I was sat.

In all honesty it was such a harsh sending off and add to that I don't think it was stupid from him.

The first one was though. Ridiculously stupid,
- the guy was going nowhere, we’re 1-0 up and he scissor kicks him.
Even if the second one was debatable, he put himself in that position. And he’s not generally the sort of player to be level-headed and avoid a second yellow, especially for 60 mins.

He's a real liability, sad as otherwise he's a very decent fullback.

Last season he was SO rash and would constantly give penalties away. If he's our starting rb then we need to be in the market for one as a priority imo. Makes the trippier sale even more baffling.

I’m not Aurier biggest fan, but having seen it again he can feel very hard done by. Yes, he stupidly gives the ref a decision to make but considering what the ref left unpunished from Southampton, that shouldn’t have been a yellow. Ref was inconsistent, if that’s a yellow then the cheating and thuggery of Southampton should have left them with 8/9 men.

If Harry had hit the deck the way Bertrand did we’d be hearing all about him being a diver today.

Agree but giving the ref a decision to make is foolish ! Haven’t seen the replay but looks like he telegraphed the shirt pull from where I sit ! He seems to have total brain farts and forgets he’s meant to be a top pro at a top club

As a club we don’t seem to be able to get rid of these amateurish moments that could and do cost us games

Agree with all of that. Didn’t look like he pulled him back from where I was sitting, and on second viewing it still looked soft.

Having said that, the tackle for the first booking was daft and there’s no doubt Aurier suffers from concentration issues.

Need to get him straight back in after his ban. Not the perfect player by any means, but he's the best RB we currently have.

Agree, but I can’t actually believe the mess we’ve made of our RB situation.

Personally I hope I never see him in a Spurs shirt again. Brainless idiot with a huge ego. 1st tackle could have been straight red, 2nd is due to lazy positioning & a don't give a shit attitude. He made it easy for the ref & dropped his teammates & manager in it! Poch & team under huge pressure & he does that, can't see how any teammate would trusth him again. KWP & Foyth will both make mistakes but both are young & have always shown a real commitment to the club, hope they get their chance now.

Why do people insist on saying Aurier pulled back Redmond, several posters have done so and it’s wrong, he pulled back Bertrand, who looks nothing like Redmond, they just both happen to be mixed race.

Can’t understand how the red wasn’t overturned. The ball went out just before hand. If it won’t intervene in such black and white situations like that, then what’s the point.

Aurier was however very reckless once again. He’s always been a liability, he can be a decent wing back but the bottom line is he’s not really good enough. Selling Trippier without a proper replacement was a huge error imo, KWP isn’t good enough either, and we are massively exposed down that flank in almost every game now.

It was a terrible picture to be fair; but there wasn't any malicious intent at all. Sometimes if the connection is bad I can't tell the difference between Jan and Toby or Kane and All.
