I keep saying it but I'll say it again...he's not a LCB and he looked extremely awkward navigating things on his weaker side. Some righties have a decent left foot...he does not. He should be cover/competition for Romero on the right.

the midfields inability to stop theirs was our issue
This is a major problem. Our midfield is physically weak. We need a proper CDM with physicality in there to help screen the back Four. I like Biss but he switches off defensively (failed to track his runner again today for the 2nd goal). We are wide open and if our full backs get caught upfield we literally have zero protection for the rest of our defence

One involvement going forward is all you could muster up? Time and time again he was out of position defensively, nowhere to be seen. How about addressing that? He wasn't exactly helping Dragusin out there, was he?
I’m not sure he’s out of position. That’s the Ange system. To be honest I thought our problems were 100% caused by the pathetic performance of the midfield. The full backs are expected to be high up the pitch which means we will concede chances in transition. There were far more today because the midfield was either giving away the ball and/or MIA. Both Bissouma and Maddison had their worst games for the club

As I said, Dragusin is not VdV, so we shouldn't play as if he was on the pitch. It was obvious from the start we were getting caught out completely and they were getting in behind all game long, yet we did nothing to change it.

I disagree with midfield being the root cause. Yes, the midfield was poor but so were the forwards and so were Porro and Udogie and to a lesser extent Romero. They were all bad.

He's been here for 3 months. Compare it to 1st start from Van de Ven who probably had like 3 training sessions at all before debut
Weird that you defend Ndombele to the death, despite him being one of the biggest wasters to ever pull on the shirt, but go in two footed on a young centre back making his first start for the club.

Being scapegoated here. Don't get me wrong, he was crap, but the midfield offered fuck all protection and the system around him failed.

Bissouma and Sarr are not as they were before AFCON in my opinion. Bents should have started ahead of one of them today. As for Radu, you cant judge a player on his 1st full start, especially if you expect him to be as rapid as VDV
Bissouma was awful before AFCON and has carried on as per. Sarr had a shocker today but has been fine. Hate seeing these two lumped together as if they're somehow symbiotic.

I just think I realised I mighht have a disconnect with the club and it's mainly down to how negeative and miserable some people are in this fanbase. Tbh this place isn't even half as bad as it is on twitter, it's soul sapping

I can fix that for you. Delete Twitter, it’s useless and negative. Dont read comment sections on social media platforms unless you want your brain to rot.

Surprised by the criticisms of Dragusin tbh. I don’t think he was at fault for the goals. And if you think he struggled, the whole team did. No one played well. Feels pointless to criticize the guy.
