Whats up with porro and felix?
Supposedly Porro had an affair with Felix’s girlfriend, there were a few videos circulating. Both denied it but there are vids that look a little suss. He gave her his shirt after a match once. Who knows. Amusing tho.

There’s players I’d sell before him but he’s one of the few sellable assets that are expendable. Think he’s given it a fair enough crack in some systems that left the midfield horribly exposed. Sure he’d do well wherever he would end up.

But we don’t have 2 good cb’s so cb positions are still weaker. We have 3 very good midfielders in Bissouma Bentancor and Maddison.

We need new centre backs(at least 1) and at least 2 central midfielders. Both areas are woeful, but a stronger midfield in front of our defence or better quality after injuries we’d be in such a stronger position.

I must be the only person that doesn't think this will happen.

I read an article which was talking about how highly Ange rated Mile Jedinak because even though he was less technically gifted he was the leader and played his role exactly how Ange wanted. There is a lot more detail to it but I just thought at the time that sounds a lot like PEH.

I think a change in formation and playing style may change the look of our midfield considerably because they aren't bad players.

Our defence however, will probably look even weaker which is why (for me) it's got to be the biggest priority.
Our defenders just aren't good enough, on or off the ball.

I disagree. Our midfield has been covering for our woeful defence since Jan and Toby left. You could put Messi in there and he would still be asked to play as one of two or three anchormen.

I think it's a combination of our defence being shit and our midfield allowing players to walk past them. None of our current crop are great at defense in the way wanyama or dier were at peak.

Definitely need to upgrade on Hojbjerg - moreso stylistically and someone with greater physical strengths and mobility. Edson Alvarez or Ibrahim Sangare would be very good replacements under that criteria and perhaps Kessie or Guendouzi (- not a popular choice) as alternative types. Leandro Paredes on loan from PSG wouldn't be the worst option either. Need someone to compete with the top tier midfields in the league and overpower the lesser league midfielders/attackers.

I wonder if we would actually sign a replacement, or go with what we have.

We will have 7 players to cover 3 midfield positions and we don’t have European football.

Maddison/Bissouma/Bentancur/Sarr/
Ndombele/Skipp/Devine.

That’s not even factoring Lo Celso who Ange may want to keep too.
