I'd bite their hands off for that deal. But don't see it happening

Veiga is going to Man City or PSG from what i've been reading.

Southampton reportedly want £50m for Lavia. It seems Liverpool will only target him if they sell one of their existing midfielders - they were open to selling Thiago to Saudi but he doesn't want to go.

Veiga has been linked to everyone, even we scouted him a lot supposedly. Liverpool were one of the prime contenders for him but that’s changed now obv. PSG just triggered Xavi Simons buy back clause, at the moment he doesn’t want to go but if he is convinced there won’t be space for Veiga considering who else they have brought in. City are obviously a potential destination and so are Chelsea because they buy every young talent possible but thus far nobody has triggered his release clause. It just seems everyone is monitoring him atm and if we can offer him first team football in an attacking line up there’s no reason we couldnt at least test the waters. As I said, with Celta wanting Regi that also gives us an in to do a deal rather then pay the full release.

I don’t think we spend £50 mil on Lavia, I don’t think we spend that on anyone except maybe Tapsoba. Southampton won’t need to drop the price ether because so many clubs seem to be after him. I really don’t see him ending up here.

I’d honestly love Felix for two reasons, one because I rate him but mainly two because I’d love to see the Spurs behind the scenes when he and Porro come face to face. Would warrant a trip to the offie for bag of butterkist sweet and salty popcorn.

Yeah he came up through City's academy, he joined them when he was 16 from Anderlect. Even so I just don't see us spending that, maybe if we sold Ndombele and Lo Celso as well but even so I really struggle to see us paying 50 mil for anyone except a CB or if Kane leaves.

Defence has been our weakest area.

When fit we will have Bissouma and Bentancur 2 phenomenal midfielders but yes we would need another one given Bentancur won’t be fit for a few months and not sure Sarr and Skipp are quite good enough for Ange's style of football right now.

Considering he's a Mendes client, it wouldn't surprise me to see him linked to Saudi clubs soon enough.

I was thinking Gil and Solomon are good competition but if we can get a good deal with Felix and have enough for 2CBs and 1 CM that would be perfect.

Of course, it will never happen for a multitude of reasons. Even if it wasn’t for Porro he’s on 250k pw and i don’t see us ever paying him that.

We conceded 63 goals last season. And our CBs are still not settled. We need to fix this area first.

Im sure Atleti would also be looking for another 40, 50 odd mil on top of PEH. After all his current contract runs until 2027, even if they want him gone they will still be looking to recoup as much as possible. Pointless even thinking about it as unfortunately its just not remotely realistic.

Skipp and Sarr started together away at Milan in a knockout CL game and were superb. If Ange can improve them and develop them I don’t think they’re terrifying backups at all. We need a backup to Maddison though probably.

I’d call it more speculation, someone mentioned above re twitter but it’s not worth even contemplating as it wasn’t from a particularly reliable account as far as I know. I certainly wouldn’t call it ITK but just read a few posts back. For now just assume it’s people hypothesising. Felix did have his no 7 shirt given to Griezmann tho so he will be going somewhere.
