Not sure if this is true but would allow for another in...if it is also may explain why it took so long

If that’s right. And it’s 5m upfront and we’ve been negotiating all month then wtf did we start out at ? Cattle and some old Calor heaters.

In order to push through the deal this month, Spurs agreed to a loan with an obligation to buy which is expected to cost around 45m euros (£39.5m). football.london understands the deal has been structured as a loan to fit in with Sporting's financial commitments. The Portuguese club need it to show in the next financial year, so the two clubs found a solution to still be able to sign the player now rather than wait until the summer.

There have been some suggestions that if Porro was sold permanently this month then Sporting could owe his former club Manchester City a higher amount of the fee as it falls within a certain timeframe, whereas this loan move would work around that scenario.

I can understand why it took so long with how difficult and particular Sporting were being.

I know...
Udogie while still young will be a good option down the left next season.

Both Porro and Udogie will want to attack rather than defend.

It's just a painfully slow rebuild...
Yes. We'll need a monster CDM to make up for the full backs bombing forward. Declan Rice/ Partey / Casemiro calibre...

Decent player, but this whole transfer business is a fucking embarrassment.

chelsea have a bigger net spend this January alone, than we have since 2008….

I know it’s not all on net spend, but it paints a picture that needs hitting home.

clubs around us and above us are strengthening, we sit still.

buy a great wing back, can’t stop the fucking goals going in behind and to the side of him though ?

I don't think we do. Would be great to get 1, but 3 Cb's and 2cm's will provide the defending.

As much as people want one of the cm 2 to be a ball player, I just can't see it happening.

Porro and Udogie and who ever the back ups are will need to cover a lot of ground

Why delay the announcement? Arsenal have gone from interested to shirt being held up in 24 hours for Jorginho!

I still think the most gettable for us would be Konrad Laimer (or Kalvin Phillips if he continues to get no minutes at MC).
