Needs to be protected?
Maybe just me but not sure why that's a yellow and I get why he did it anyway. He's just a boy. Has had a tough time getting knocked out of AFCON, that non-injury he picked up and his reaction to it surely shows how much he cares about Senegal. Makes his first start back, bosses it and scores the equaliser. Loved that his instinct was to celebrate with the supporters. He was brilliant all game. A bit stupid going in to the crowd and could have got a second yellow for that foul on Mitoma.
Needs to be protected?
Unless that yellow patch is urine that he expelled during the match and this guy is referring to an adult diaper then I can't see any problem.
Sarr is such a strong runner that's one of his main strengths no need to protect him from it.
He’s nothing like Pogba in my opinion.dare I say it? reminds me of Pogba a bit - can do everything.
He feels more like Dembele. Everyone accepts that he's running around but when he leaves/ he's absent, everyone is scratching their chin why we struggle. He’s nothing like Pogba in my opinion.
Still don't see the logic. As in kept safe from injuries or issues because of how impactful he is for us.
Agree, we have a real gem there (among quite a few gems...)It just kind of feels like there’s really no limit in how good he could be. He’s got it all, and he appears to just keep on getting better.
Still don't see the logic.
It's not possible to protect players from injuries.
You can rest a player and the next game back they get injured.
I'll just enjoy watching Pape without worrying about protecting him from some potential danger that could come any time anyway.
There's a saying about not worrying about things you cannot control...
Yeh I saw this mini-debate earlier and was going to post but got distracted.Yeah, it's a newish turn of phrase.
I haven't really done a great job explaining it but I'll try again.
It's to get across the idea that a player or person is significantly more important than we realize and we should take notice, appreciate and value them.
They don't literally mean that someone should "protect" them but that we should always value them and collectively do our best to support them because of how impactful they are.
