Those two and Udogie for me. Gut feeling is they're all going to be huge players for us over the next couple of years.

Agree with this. I’m interested to see if Ange is the kind of manager that will put his faith in them. I definitely think if Poch was still in charge he would trust them but I don’t know what Ange’s record is with young players.

I hope he does play them regularly because I think they Sarr and Udogie have the tools to be absolute superstars.

He has a big rep for promoting youth

Not, IMO, so much from the angle of using / trusting them because it's the only way to develop but from the angle that they're close to a blank canvas and it's easier to teach them to play the way he wants

I believe the saying is ‘Baller’.

Criminal how Hojbjerg was ran into the ground last season and Sarr was left on the bench after the San siro game.

Crazy to think this bloke is only 19.

If he was English the press would all over him as the next big thing, but instead he’s just here flying under the radar which is so much better.

Great that he clearly has the trust of the manager, and doubtless based on preseason either starting or the first midfield option off of the bench this season. Proper opportunity for him to learn and hopefully to flourish.

Love the way he's integrating into this team. His potential is massive IMO. Here's hoping he can do a job this season and continue to grow

He did look talented, good on the ball, worked hard etc from some bits and pieces we before, looking at the highlights some of his positional play is so good and aggressive (what Ange wants with the pressing etc) but it's worth mentioning. He essentially starts in a position as high as a traditional 10 off the ball

He starts at RB and begins the entire attack giving it to Madds who whips it out wide. Sarr sees that and instantly drives straight up the pitch as the crow flies and is again the highest man up the pitch other than the front 3 and he's the player making the run in case the keeper spills it! Incredible determination

There's a cross coming in and he's the one at the edge of the box, getting into that free space in and around the penalty box. The ball goes back and he stays in the pocket, calls for it, gets it and goes for goal

Starts high, near the edge of their box with their defender having it near the penalty spot. Kulu intercepts and as soon as he's starting to get control he's drifting into the box, then makes a driving run into the space between the CBs as he shapes up to cross. Okay he may not be pulling strings like an Eriksen or VDV, but he's very forward thinking, direct, making up that extra man/almost secondary striker role

A very direct midfielder taking up spaces in the pockets, being in and around the striker making driving runs beyond them, making up that extra man and holding spaces in the box in for rebounds. It's a boring parallel but that's Lampard's playing style all over, at least in terms of attacking and wouldn't be surprised at all if he gets 10+ goals this season if his finishing is decent. Him, Bentancur, Bissouma, Maddison, GLC, Hojbjerg, Skipp is a very strong group of players when everyone's fit and healthy

Great stuff Sarr, keep it up

Great write up mate. I'm excited about the future with him and Udogie.

He has bags of potential, and I think given the minutes he’ll develop into a really good player. We should all be patient though as there will be inconsistency as there is with any youngster.

We have Paratici to thank for recognizing the talent and doing a deal that was fairly unusual for us by spending £14.5 million on an 18 year old and leaving him on loan at Metz. The same strategy seems to have worked a treat for Udogie too.

Funny thing about him, and I'm getting this sense everyone here will agree with me on this, that with Sarr it's not just that you look at him and think he could be brilliant, but you look at him and know he will be brilliant.

I have no doubt in my mind he will make it to the top.

That said, he wasn't perfect today. There were a couple of mistakes that need ironing out.

Ange loves developing youth players, he was a youth team coach for quite a while and was Australia national team u21 coach as well I believe, it’s in his DNA.

He’ll give them a chance I’d they’re ready and good enough etc.

Can see way the club were reluctant to just sling Paratici out and why they are probably still using him.

He probably opened a lot of eyes to quality scouting and set up around this area and if he had anything to do with data, DL would absolutely love that as it helps to limit mistakes in the market.

Replacing that isnt easy and you could easily get back onto a wasteful sporting director/set up.

Romero, Kulusevski and Bentancur were 3 of the best players wed signed in a while and they didnt cost the earth (Paratici was creative).

And if he is finding gems like Sarr for 14m or Udogie for 18, rather than 30m on players like Sessegnon, well, that is hard to just kick to the curb.
