Thought he had a slightly shaky start with a couple of dodgy long passes, but grew into the game and was quietly excellent in the second half.

As others have said, the game looks very natural to him and he seems to have a bit of everything. In France he was renowned for his excellent long passing and incredible shot power and we've not even seen that from him yet at Spurs, so there's clearly a lot more to come.

After today I wonder if Conte will push him up the pecking order a bit? If that's the case maybe we shouldn't send him on loan.

He was starting ahead of Skipp before Bissouma pulled out.

Yeah true, but he started Skipp ahead of him in the more important league game.

I think it's hard to say the exact pecking order, but based on the last 2 games Sarr has looked the better of the two so will be interesting to see how Conte uses them going forward.

Only reason we should send this guy on loan is if it’s to a PL, Serie A or La Liga club. Any other level would be below what he’s showing to be his level and wouldn’t benefit him, it would be better just to stay and train and get minutes for us. He’s clearly improving all the time in training according to Conte and his staff, so his current role with us would be fine. There’s also the fact that other than PEH and Bentancur he’s probably the only midfielder that’s been given Conte’s trust this season and emphatically repaid him

These were Kane's comments prior to England v. Senegal:

"Pape has come into the team, he hasn’t quite found himself playing a lot of games, yet," said the Three Lions captain on the eve of the clash. "But, from what I see in training, he’s a really talented player. Quite quiet in terms of personality, he just gets on with training and his job.

“He’s a good guy, so if he plays tomorrow then obviously I know a few things from training. He’s a really talented player with some great ability on the ball. It’s good to see him doing well at the highest level.”

Keeping him here, and letting him continue to acclimate to the club and England, would seem to be the right move. Plus, Conte has already hinted that Sarr and Gil are staying put in January.

Really really like him. Wasn’t easy for him with the injury to Bissouma and the complete lack of match fitness and confidence from Skipp

Not quite the Viera/Scholes/Keane/Gerrard love child just yet but ?

He just looks the part, already. Don't see any reason why he shouldn't be competing for a first 11 spot every game. No way he goes on loan.

I have seen nothing from Bissouma this season to make me prefer him to Sarr for the backup DM role.

He is very Dembele-esque.

He controls and shields the ball very well with his body, and he covers a lot of ground defending - effectively.

Still young, and needs both physical and mental maturing - but, he has everything he needs to be world class.

Missed the game today, just had updates on as was my little boys 4th birthday but wow he looked very good again today.
In my opinion his positional play was superb, he was the first Spurs player I have seen for a long time who was in the right place at the right time to pick up second balls and the IMPORTANTLY pick the opportunity to drive forward and pressurise. I get really pissed off by the number of our players who pass the ball side ways and backwards and then wave their hands to pass back again. Why the fuck can they not pass the ball and bloody well run forward rather than take an option which an very average player would take. They are paid an awful lot of money, so it is about time a few of them earnt their wages.

He was great today. And looked better than Bissouma has so far, albeit against weaker opposition.

I really hope Sarr carries on like this and Bissouma gets back his Brighton form.

110% this exactly how I feel. This is a major reason why we rarely look like scoring bar Crystal Palace game. Sideways and backwards safe passes, no movement and slow build up frustrates me do much!
