It isn't, it's totally unacceptable for them to react in that manner.I left this topic alone but calling me vile and claiming racism was dead kind of says it all. Confused how calling people vile is somehow acceptable on this forum
In regards to what you said I'm one of those who "WTF"'d your original post, but ironically that's not the bit which irked me somewhat. I think saying this forum is closed minded when collectively we are clearly making massive strides forward when it comes to any types of discrimination is incredibly patronising. 10-15 years ago we had users laughing about Adebayor's dad "washing elephants", and commenting on other black player's genitalia. More recently we we have also had plenty of anti-Semitic comments, homophobic comments and sexist comments. Thankfully the vast majority of that is now in the past, and if anyone makes a joke or a comment about any those subjects now they are correctly pulled up on it and hopefully given a stern warning, if not a ban. I have often referred to black players as beasts. As well as this I've often referred to Haaland as a beast, Kane as a beast, Declan Rice as a beast, Romero as a beast, Sergio Ramos as a beast. Me not realising that some on here believe referring to a black player as a beast is unacceptable isn't me being closed minded, it's me being unaware that there could be a negative impact. Now I know this I will likely never refer to a black player as a beast again.
TLDR; I'm not always proud of the users of SC, but I'd say as a this forum is doing a amazing job of stamping out discrimination little by little. I'm sure people are happy to be taught further if it's done in a positive way.
