He looks good in the video posted on the official site. I'm a bit surprised if they think he's out until new year to be honest. If he's already in the gym he could be back in a month possibly.

Going to the Bournemouth game on New year's Eve, absolutely gutted I won't get to see him play. He plays in same position I did so was looking forward to seeing him play live so I could imagine what I would have been like if I had any talent, good looks and a top physique.

What a miss he's going to be at our busiest time of year for fixtures
@sidford How did you get a ticket ? Am hoping to go as we back in UK for festive period

I'm convinced the VAR check indirectly caused VdV's hamstring injury. Such a big lad and explosive runner standing idle for to long.

There's no way to know a VAR check will take this long, but we should start "warming down/up" next time there's a VAR check to make a point (and frankly it might just last for 5+ minutes again).

I completely agree. It must be a contributing factor, even to a slight extent. Perhaps the coaches need to help keep the players warm and moving whilst VAR makes a mess of things.

Thought it seemed strange that he was shown walking without without strapping and unaided just a few days after the injury and then to hear two months didn't seem right.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's back before Christmas TBH.

Decent hamstring pull (if there is such a thing) is usually around 6 weeks. That was a lot worse than that.
FA Cup in January would be a good target. Defence won’t be as bad when Romero and Udogie are back together .

Tbh it’s the same injury as last season. Surgery might help

You make a good point about it being the same injury but important to note it didn’t happen last season. It happened in the 21/22 season. He actually played every game bar 1 for Wolfsburg last season, so no hamstring issues last season.

Unfortunately had to go through livefootballtickets.com. have had family members use them and no issues so hopefully same with me. Wife hasn't been to new ground yet cos of Covid etc so was only real way to secure tickets

Think this has been deleted now. Strange..!
That is a bit odd, to be fair.
He didn't look too restricted at all compared to my own experience with a hammy, he honestly looked to be moving really freely on it and not at all what I'd have expected to see.

Interesting that it was posted and now deleted but I don't want to get over excited about him returning sooner...
