Got his move to Sporting, should be playing against City in the CL in 2 weeks

Has this been confirmed anywhere? I read something last year about us agreeing with Sporting to transfer our sell-on clause to them so we don't get anything out of this transfer yet but would if Sporting sold him. Not sure if that is true or not.

yeah i think he's read it wrong and thought that sporting have bought 50% of vitoria's share, when actually they've bought vitoria's 50% share(with spurs retaining the other 50%). it's a bit of a gamble by spurs as they're banking on not only edwards' value increasing but also sporting selling him on again at some point. regardless of all that though it's a great move for him, they won the league last season and are up there again this year, as well as a big cl tie on the horizon against city. it will be interesting to see if he can take his game up a level now he's playing with better players.

Nice to see the lad playing so well. Heard so much about him when he was young but have never seen why he was so rated. But he was without doubt the dominant player in the game

Could do much worse than him for the right wing position. Left footed, creative and a dribbler. Remains to be seen how he would fair in the PL but for example saints, Everton or Villa wokld be a good step.

I seem to remember we waived any % from his sale to Sporting so that the deal could get done, and we now have a larger % of any future sale (off top of my head thought it was as much as 50%). Can anyone confirm ??
