So is he one for the future? Needs to be loaned out or straight in the squad next season?

He looks a great talent to be fair and regardless of the level of the league to appear to be head and shoulders the best player on the pitch at just 17 is pretty special. I had never heard of him a few hours ago and now I'm pumped that we've managed to get him (y) :) (ahead of Barcamona)

This is great and informative but we DEFINITELY need a HG rules thread. My head hurts trying to get my head around the rules and how they differ for Prem and European competitions and having it all in one place could help us all.....
I'm nerdy enough that I'll enjoy doing this - I'll try and remember to do it over the weekend. I have most of the information already anyway.

Even though they are a bit of a mess right now, not many 17 year olds (all right 18 now...) would turn down Barca. Says a lot about the power of Ange and it's a sign that Bergvall is a sensible guy.
What’s funny is i remember reading stories last summer that we tried to hijack Vitor Roque and also had his entourage visit the lodge. He was the same, dreamt of Barca but was checking out other options in case. We weren’t the only ones and he obv eventually turned everyone down. The irony is that there have been quite a few stories about him struggling to fit in with the social groups and it has been effecting his adaptation to the league. I did touch on this in a post earlier in this thread about Barca and youth. They are excellent at developing youth but if you don’t adapt to “the Barca way” then you will struggle. He did score the other day so it will be interesting to see what happens during the remainder of the season. But it does make you wonder if he was moving clubs now would he still be so set in his mind to go to Barca.

The last time we signed a player called Lucas in the January transfer window, he went on to score a hat-trick in the Champions League semi-final the following season.

I don't want to put pressure on the lad, though, so I'll make do with him just scoring a brace.

Hopefully they can't register him next season and we can have a dip at him on a free because they've mismanaged the situation so fucking poorly.

Was wondering when you’d post as I know you’ve been positively glowing about Bergvall.

Him under the tutelage of Ange coupled with the wealth of international players we now have at our disposal it makes for a mouthwatering prospect for the future.

Honestly I feel like a kid on Christmas morning.

We're going to be a bloody good football team for the next decade if we keep this up.

The depth and pipeline of talent at CB and CM now is an embossment of riches.

Maddison, Kulu, Bentancur, Sarr, Bissouma, Bergvall, Devine, Moore, Donley, Hall

Romero, VDV, Dragusin, Phillips, Dorrington, Vuskevic.

We've never had anything like this before.

Well done Tottenham Hotspur. Well bloody done.

Alright I'm bored of this now. Who's the next youngster to sign?
I’d be amazed if we weren’t seriously considering a summer bid for Bardghji even before securing Bergvall but the Swedish/Scandi theme runs strong now.

You're telling me that back in the days when I was a hardcore cyberkid raver at Gatecrasher/ Cream/ Tangled in 1999 that these lads wouldn't have even been BORN for another 5 to 8 YEARS???!!

He's at the perfect age for braces but in what few pictures i've seen of his face, his teeth look fine.

Summertime we can focus on the future of the front 3/succession planning for Son, suitable cover at LB and a more like for like backup for Vicario.

Then we are set.

Take this with a pinch of salt. A guy who has good connections inside Djurgården (his club) mentioned he visited our training ground in the last few days. Also mentioned he has talked to a few other clubs in England (named Man City).

Might be nothing. But thought I’d mention it.
I completely missed this at the time and jeez what an amazing bit of info which turned out to be completely true, despite everyone being convinced he only wanted Barca.
