Hats off to any player that plays in europe. I hope he integrates properly and learns the language. I want to see him do well.
I don't think anything that he's said recently is disrespectful or inaccurate so can't understand the offence caused to some on here??

So much bitterness here towards a player who would still improve our starting 11 just like that.

He had one bad season, we wanted him out, fucked him off, took it on the chin and is succeeding elsewhere. Am I missing something?
the thought of him starting Sunday, up against Auba/Pepe, it’s making me nervous even though it will never happen.

I appreciate that he gave his all for the club every time he set a foot on the pitch.

That being said he was never good enough to be anything more than a backup here and we needed to be rid of him.

Wouldn’t have done any worse than Sánchez which is what we’re reduced to.

It was a painful experience and hopefully never repeated

Really frustrating watching him get skinned and then Point to someone like Winks
Was worse whenever he'd fuck up and then rub his hamstring for an excuse, well not worse I guess, but equally as fucking annoying...

Not surprised. I remember a few times last season being at games when we conceded and it was either a trippier error or it came from down his side, he'd then turn to someone and try blame it on them.
THIS 100%. It always annoyed me the way it was always somebody else's fault when there was a cock-up involving him.

Genuinely hope he does. Disgraceful how he’s talked about. And people wonder why players have no loyalty anymore

The guy was paid millions and produced absolutely nothing last season, why should the people that go to games, buy merchandise, contribute massively to the club paying his wages not be able to voice their opinion on him? Regardless of how much it hurts some snowflake eyes to read slightly negative comments about a guy happy enough to throw a bit of shade our way now we wanted to sell him.

“Disgraceful”, get a grip.

If he wins the league with Athletico this season that would just be so spursy

Not really, Spanish league could be argued to suit his game a lot more being slower and more technique then the facking raaaaan abooooout and more physical nature of the English league.

Although I have mention per maybe would have been good idea to see how he performed after he got over he groin injury he was carrying, but then also KWP should have been bloodied too and our whole right back situation has been handled shoddily as we also seek to be making our only senior right back, Aurier, feel as unwanted as Rose and you can see how that’s affected his performances.

Again, I think we shouldn't underestimate that we need to alter the age profile of our squad a bit and I think we would've liked to have shifted Rose last season and Trippier this season to have a bit more gradual turnover.
This summer, we would probably have wanted to shift them both, but only Trippier had takers.

The honest truth about Trippier was probably that the club saw that he neared 29 years of age, plays in the position that is probably the toughest physically in our team (seeing as we tend to rotate the most there), had two years left on his deal and actually had someone willing to pay money for him, as well as his performances (even at the best of times) didn't exactly make him indispensible.

Despised by many Spurs fans (some of whom are old enough to remember the Ginger Pele) for not being Roy Of The Rovers. I wish him well.
