You'd have to think palace will be seriously looking at him now, considering that they have that AWB money burning in the back of their pocket.

I really can't see Trippier moving a broad...for some reason i think Villa or maybe Crystal Pal might come in for him.
He won't go to that level, he played a WC semi (and scored) a CL final - he isnt going to drop to a relegation battle if its a choice between that and say a decent Italian side.

I think if it was a choice between Juventus and Villa/Palace then he'd probably move to Italy and play with Ronaldo and co. Ramsey has just gone there as well so he wouldn't be the only English player in the squad which would make it a lot easier for him.

shows Poch doesnt have any faith in the other 2 right backs, if he wants Trip gone yet still played him pretty much all season

He's too thick to embrace a different culture. He's only just adapted to life in London. "You can take the boy out of Bury, but you can't take Bury out of the boy"

Do you know him personally them to be making comments about his intelligence?

Seems like a daft comment otherwise to me.

Oh dear Lordy I’m doing ‘a Paolo’... ???

As I’m said in this thread before I’d still be interested to see how Trippier fares injury free.

Although ultimately if he goes it’s because Poch feels it’s the right move so in Poch we trust (although I still think Poch would be mad to let Rose go mind).

and if he’s still crap then we’re buggered until the next transfer window or more likely the following summer.

Trippier has several flaws and they’re irreparable for me.

- Other teams consistently target him due to his frailties
- He has poor decision making, especially defensively. Utd at home for example with the suicidal offload. Wolves where he tried to nutmeg an opponent in our own box which led to a pen after Foyth brought the player down
- Then there’s his constant finger pointing and blaming others
- He’s beyond slow
- He’s also weak. Corluka used to a sloth but he was very strong and positionally aware, Trippier is clueless
- His best attribute is/was his crossing yet he doesn’t even cross the bloody thing anymore. If he loses the ball then we’re reliant on Sissoko covering his ass

I just don’t see how he fits into the high press/quick counter attack game we want to be able to play. If we’re going to end up with Lo Celso and Ceballos, to cater for our new midfielders we’re going to likely only play one of Moura and Son or neither, and be reliant on our full backs bombing up and down the wing all game. Trippier is incapable of doing this.

Most of those criticisms are a bit dramatic. If he was all of those things to that degree we’d have lost every game by about 4 goals
