I think you're right about CB being his best position, but I think against certain opposition he could be very useful at RB.Watching that vid just reassures me that he is not a rb, too slow and too many rash challenges in the area about three of those tackles could be penalties next year with var.
He is a massive prospect and is amazing with interceptions and skill but he is a CB.
He looks class at rb because he is a class player but if i was an opposing manager i would tell my winger to go on the outside every time and he will give penalties away.
If we are playing him rb toby has to be next to him. I would prefer kwp gets a chance there.
I would train him to be a left sided centre back and have rose, davies or even vertonghen at lb and he wouldn't be in a position where he needs to make those rash challenges.
Either way he needs to get at least 25 games next season.
He'll struggle against pacey wingers (he had a tricky time against Venezuela recently) but plenty of teams don't have speed merchants.
And aside from the 5% of the time when he's doing something reckless and/or silly, he's a very good 1v1 defender - certainly more naturally gifted and better at reading the game than any of our 'proper' fullbacks.
I wouldn't want him to be our first choice RB for every game, but I think if we play him against the right opposition he could be great for us.
