It's good to see him pushing for games.
He was never going to start games here, even cup ones.

Would have been very easy for him to stay as a back up and keep picking up his pay packet. He’s taken a wage decrease to go and play regularly.

I think he was important off the pitch as a character within the dressing room and helping lads out with finishing training. Probably helped Alfie to have him and Hugo to learn from as well.

Good luck to him. He was professional in his time here and always seemed positive. We're going to need a new left arm seamer now though ?

Paddy Power ???

Joe Hart has completed his moved to Celtic. You have to admire that. He could have easily stayed at Spurs on the bench and watched a car crash of a season from the sidelines, instead he's chosen to experience it on the pitch in person. Respect.

Trouble is Rangers have won their first game and Celtic have lost their opener so it looks like another title chance has gone.

My wife laughed when he joined Spurs as I’d always thought he was a bit of a dick but the way he conducted himself with us and the positive stories I’ve heard about him in training and the influence he had with younger players I’m more than happy to eat humble pie.
hope he does well at Celtic

Deffo passed it as a player, but seemed like a top bloke and admiral he didn't want to just sit on the bench collecting a wage. Getting 1m for him as well is decent business

Says £1m deal, that’s pretty decent I’d say

I doubt that £1m is the transfer fee. It's probably to buy out the remainder of his contract that we'd have to pay him as he didn't put a transfer request in.

We would not have expected to make money from this deal,

Three year contract, gets to play in the Old Firm derby, probably as captain. Great swansong!
