Hard to tell from that angle if he was as at fault as being described. Is there any other angle which shows what swerve was on it, where Sanchez was in relation to his line of sight, etc?

That's what I was thinking. It does look like he was just caught off guard but I certainly can't say for sure without seeing a different angle.

Come on, lads - he should have easily saved that. It wasn’t even hit particularly hard, straight at him.

My instinct is you are right but he looks like he dives away from where it ends up and if he’d stayed rooted it’d have hit him, which is why I think an angle from behind the shooter or behind the goal would help make more sense of what appears to be a strange sequence.

Bit of a better angle, I think - not sure who that is in the background recording. You can also see by this angle how moronic people are for blaming Ndombele in any way

Highlights on the spurs website have a better angle from behind the goal

Yeah, very bad judgment on his part. For sure a mistake after seeing that.

He’s just not match sharp. I don’t think that striker was thinking I’m gonna hit it to his left. He just belted it and caught Hart off guard.

I got quite panned in this thread for saying that his confidence was shot to pieces and I'd be terrified to actually play him....without being able to actually name alternative 3rd keeper

I hope all of those members covered their eyes and ears when they clicked the video above. LA LA LA......this is NOT happening because I can't name an alternative. Not happening...LA LA...

Much better angle.

It is very close to him but he goes down very late, the ball has already reached the Watford forward between him and the shooter by the time he starts diving. So I agree its a weak goal to concede but I do think he saw it a bit late due to that forward (who should’ve been flagged offside as a result) and also the narrow sight of vision between CCV and Sanchez of the shooter.

Should’ve saved it but not so poor it raises alarm bells beyond “he’s a bit rusty”.

As for Ndombele, yes I’m not sure how anyone is blaming him.

Taking pleasure in Spurs players making mistakes so one can say “I told you so” is such an admirable quality in a Spurs ‘supporter’.

Just for the sake of saying, why isn't this offside/interfering?

Looks to me like Hart's line of sight was blocked by someone a few yards offside, unless he's being played on by someone out of sight?

Yup. As I said above, while it was soft, he doesn’t start diving till after the shot passes that player.

I am actually surprised to see most people in this thread don't see how dinasour of a goalkeeper hart is ... He is not even good enough to become third choice at west ham or burnley, but people are making him second choice at spurs because he shouts a lot ... Goes to show how little people watch football of other clubs ...

Exactly. He had all the time in the world to react and he finally reacted after the fucking ball went in. No excuses for being that slow

Wtf was that!!! That sums him up perfectly over the past 3-5 seasons

He’d have saved that easily a few years back when he was very good

Now he’s fucking useless. Amazed we signed him

He did the Robbo trick of taking a step the wrong way before he dives.

Now don't get me wrong I LOVE Robbo but it was the single most infuriating thing when he was struggling for form that shift of weight to the wrong side leaving them with too much distance to cover and not enough time to get across.

Hopefully it was his vision being blocked off, regardless he should be saving those.

He's approximately as shit as vorm was in the end so we haven't lost anything. Just improved our homegrown list
