I don’t see the point in signing Maddison. I’d rather play Kulusevski as an attacking 8, he works harder, holds the ball under pressure better and when he’s on form has a similar level of end product, if not better. Would make far more sense to me to bring Kulu inside and spend that 50m on a real handful of a winger with pace and trickery so we’re adding something to the 11 that we’re lacking.
I'm not even sure we should put the money down for Kulu tbh. On form? Sharp? Not last season, with only one or two exceptions. Let him go back to Turin and sign Olise instead.

Anyway, back to Maddison. Good quality but not one for the trenches- he visibly sulks although at least he doesn't hide.
£35m tops. Prefer a pass and move type like Hatate or Kamada is it at Frankfurt? Spend the money on Raya and Laporte.

Why are people concerned about his age? He’s 26! Hardly over the hill, and more like just coming into his prime.

A lot of fans are still obsessed with “potential” and “higher ceiling” etc, when there is a PL proven player as you say coming into his peak who solves a huge need in our squad.

It’s an absolute no brainer imo, but it won’t happen if Leicester insist on a high price.

Levy simply won’t entertain paying that for a player with a year left from a team that’s been relegated….. and it will be our loss as someone else will benefit.

I cant really understand people. Looking at what he brings every season. For that level of return, in this market, 50m is bang on the money. I hope we do it. Would be great for us
I suppose it depends on our budget, we have more pressing needs in defence.

I think we will have a clear run at him as it seems newcastle are going for the more sensible signing in the Hungarian chap from Leipzig who’s name I can’t spell.

I feel like I'm from a parallel universe as the only person to think he'd be brilliant for us.
The amount of times I’ve seen people throw out the line that there are better/cheaper options is insane… there aren’t. Wanting Alex Scott over James Maddison? Absurd.

If you believe wage websites Maddison is on £110,000 a week he's going to want a big increase on that, is Levy going to sanction that plus a big transfer fee while we still have N'dombele etc on the books.

If we cannot compete for the young players, especially for those are the Tottenham fans, I don't know what to say.
Surely with Ange we could give him a path to the first team, essentially straight away. He is a spurs fan and is good friend with Devine judging by the England u-21s.

Thought Maddison was too up himself a couple of years ago but he's grown o me both as a person and as a player. I think he's more versatile than some people give him credit for as well. Has done well for Leicester playing from the right forward position at times too
