Perisic played in every game up until his injury. He was a pretty key part of us seeing out games. I’d also argue that one doesn’t need to be a starting player to be an important first teamer.

But given Johnson and Udogie have both missed games due to injury, your post saying Bentancur was the only first team injury simply is not correct, whatever way you want to slice it.
True, but I maintain our injuries haven't been particularly bad up to the Chelsea game.

Chelsea have had worst than us this season.
This is no longer the case :(
Has to be the worst list of injuries we've had
Close to a good first team now

Phillips---VdV---Sess
Bentacur---Sarr---Maddison

Did he say 3 months out? (@1.05) :grumpy:
Think he said "If its 3 months then it would be my longest injury as I've never really gone past that much time out".

Ankle ligaments are slow healing and hard to predict exactly how quickly he will come back but if he got injured on 6th Nov then 3 months would be 6th Feb.

Ange has said in his presser the other day that "the rest of them will be back in the new year at some point".

If I were to hazard a guess I'd say Maddison will be back training around mid-Jan and possibly game involvement end of Jan start of Feb.

Don't forget there is a 2 weeks winter break in the middle of January this year.

Long interview/banter talk with Maddison about life at Spurs, his injury, England ambitions etc.

I could watch Maddison interviews all day. He comes across so chilled, but intelligent. It's refreshing to see how open and unashamed of things he is like being a Harry Potter nerd.

I simply can't wait to see him back. Our best player by a mile. I haven't genuinely enjoyed watching a player for Spurs as much since Van Der Vaart.

A bit unfair to Romero, Son, Bentancur and probably Van De Ven. Deki is getting there too.

He is great to watch but I don't think he is miles ahead of any of these. We have a lot of exceptional players which is great

It's all subjective I guess. But for me he's the cutting edge, in ability and attitude, that we're clearly missing. I just enjoy watching him play football for spurs.

Yeah, I haven't enjoyed watching anyone like I enjoy watching Madders since VDV. Modric, Bale, Sonny, Kane and many others are or were all great, Modric is my favourite footballer of all time but Madders is such a Spurs player, much like VDV was.

Can't be ashamed of it after naming his first-born son Albus!
