Looking at the pots for the Europa League draw, there's the possibility that Hugo may get the chance to go back to the team where he started his career.

That would be Nice.

Here's a video for the supporters who wants to cheat on Lloris for a subpar keeper constantly hyped up as being the World's Best (My ass)

@Shadydan curating all the critics of Harry but disagrees with a 15 second swipe at people suggesting a World Cup winning captain is superior to someone who has never regularly been a #1. Nice.

All the gazzaniga fans quiet recently.

Lloris been quietly excellent. Smart tops and good distribution.
As I said to WhiteDane when his method of praising Højbjerg was to put down Winks:

Ah yes, I forget that the only way to support one player is to denigrate another...

I obviously agree, and always have, both with the sentiment that Lloris is much better than Gazzaniga and that Højbjerg is better than Winks, but you can state your appreciation for one player without baiting people who like the other, no? We’re all here for the same reason after all.

I think what @Shadydan takes umbrage with is this, rather than any disagreement that ‘a World Cup winning captain is superior to someone who has never been number 1’.

Nice post but the most reasonable interpretation of my post was that it was a pop at the hysterical people who lampoon our world class players after a few disappointing performances. Gazzaniga wasn’t really criticised at all.

I understand that but you could have just said ‘what a great goalie is Hugo is, that’s why he’s still our number 1’ without baiting people.

I agree that he received way too much stock from his own fans, but we’ve just had a great win, we should just enjoy it together ?

You know - you’re right. It won’t stop those same people crawling out the woodwork when Lloris inevitably makes a mistake but there is no need to bait them.

He was awesome yesterday as he has been since last seasons restart. The guy is one of the best, also yesterday his distribution was great, he made one big kick out to the left wing which started an attack. It was great to see and him spotting the quick outlet. I think under mourinho's system it means lloris does not need to dart out as much as he use to do and so now makes less mistakes, additionally because there is not the obsession with always playing out from the back, again this drops the amount of mistakes that can happen. Poch was a great manager but he liked to play from the back and that is a risky game and so the keeper would always make more mistakes. The current setup just suits him more much like the way france play as well.

Precisely, just like the moment we set up defensive but still don’t win people will call Mourinho a dinosaur, the second Kane looks lethargic people will say he’s done, and the second Dier makes a mistake people will say he’s second rate.

He didn’t actually have that much to do yesterday because of the defensive unit as a whole, pretty much everything Citeh hit was straight at him. He done what you’d expect a top class keeper to do, even throwing in a ‘Monk’ moment when he came out to punch off the corner!
Looks a lot more solid now we aren’t messing around at the back but the sooner we stop with these stupid tap outs from goal kicks the better, as an ex keeper I can’t for the life of me understand why teams keep doing it!
