That Guglielmo Vicario is 7th I save percentage in the premier league this season.

Dont think I could make another Tottenham related point with that infographic...
Do you know how it's rated?
Is it as simple as just shots saved, or does it take into account things like those mental dashes out to clear the ball against Chelsea?
Are deflections included?

I'm not much of a follower of stats, so I was just wondering if there was more to it than appeared to me.

To be honest I'm not sure.

If I see a stat that involves a Spurs player I have a quick look to see if someone else posted it. If they haven't, then I post it.

I would imagine it is from all shots on target faced by the goalkeeper.

Individual stats don't mean a great deal without context.

I wouldn't swap Vicario for any GK in this league, apart from Alisson, based on what I've seen so far.

Alison would fit better with our squad I think....

It’s purely shots on target saved.

doesn’t account for those dashes unless attacker gets a shot off.

overall, it’s where it is, it doesn’t take into consideration the outfield play, purely shots on target saved

Thought he could have slide with his feet to clear or taken a yellow and indirect free kick for catching the ball

Couldn't do much with the goals last night, really happy with him overall, could do with a defence infront of him again like earlier in the season.

Split second decision I suppose. If he had caught it there would have been indirect free kick from about 12 yards. Extremely rare that a team will score from one of those

Wouldn't it be a red for denying goal scoring chance? Unsure if technical violations like back pass can result in a red

Law 12.1: “If the goalkeeper handles the ball inside their penalty area when not permitted to do so, an indirect free kick is awarded but there is no disciplinary sanction

So basically, if they’re gonna score because of a short back pass: pick up the damn ball. I wish players we coached on some of this stuff, as a professional you have a duty to understand the implications of the Laws of the Game.

His ability to complete accurate long and short passes under pressure is a hugely underrated part of his game. He was phenomenal with the ball at his feet today.

One of his little dinks in the first half which looped high to the feet of Ben Davies was really brave.

I loved Lloris (in his prime) but Vicario takes us to Dane Bowers another level.

Interesting, I actually thought it was his worst passing performance he's had for us.

Put it out for a throw-in at least 3 times

Loved him winding Callum Wilson up. How that little scrote has the gall to talk about a lack of respect in the post match interview is beyond the pale.
