If it was me, I’d announce it on Monday now, purely to wind people up, then show a video we shot at 3pm on Friday with Bale holding up the back page of Friday’s paper and peering over the top, tag line They best things are worth waiting for...

And I’d be forever hated by the forums haha

Just start them vs Southampton, no announcement.

Slim chance I would say, I’d wager it was just because like any normal people they don’t really care when it’s announced.
Of course they care when it's announced. They have a whole department full of people whose job it is to care. They wouldn't do this with our biggest signing in decades because they didn't care enough. They must know fans are freaking out right now.

I think what’s happened is that instead of an announcement video, they’ve made an announcement film that lasts 2 and a half hours. It’s a whodunnit called The Murderer Who Signed For Spurs and stars Spurs supporting actors like Tom Hardy and Jude Law.... and it reveals Bale at the end as THE MURDERER WHO SIGNED FOR SPURS!

So even if it’s released at 11, we won’t know Bale has signed until around 130pm. Relax and enjoy the movie.

To be fair if they did sign in time for tomorrow and were in the squad that would would be the ultimate delay tactics throw off Saints game plan. Obviously not the case but would be amazing.

or take a leaf out of the Kane gender reveal playbook...

A ball is placed on the spot. In the distance we see a fluid sack suspended from a crossbar. The ball is struck and hits it, it breaks spilling amniotic fluid and a naked Bale onto the goal line. Levy approaches and wipes the gum from Bale's eyes. There is silence. Ominous silence. Then Bale crys out. He lives.
