I think we all have a better understanding of who Gareth is and what really drives him. China was looking more or less like an escape route than the desired destination

Like a lot of you guys here in here, I'm quite emotional too atm.

I grew up on the other side of the world and really had no idea what Tottenham even was for most of the life. I dabbled with playing FIFA a bit, but that was about it. A TV network here gained the rights to every Premier League game and I thought I'd give it a go seeing as though I had mates that were football fans.

It was there that I was utterly captivated by Gareth Bale. In truth I was a Bale fan before I was a Spurs fan. My love for Tottenham has only grown since then and supporting the club throughout the last 10 years and interacting with other fans here and online has been some of the richest and rewarding feelings of community I've ever had. The Pochettino era was special and I would happily stay up until all hours of the night just to watch the games. But it all started because of Bale. I can honestly say that without him all of this probably wouldn't have happened.

And now I'm going to stay up all night to wait for an official announcement that he's returned just as I did 10 years ago to watch his magic.

From the BBC

Gareth Bale has arrived at Tottenham's training ground.

A small crowd of Spurs fans were outside to greet their returning hero.

Some wore full Tottenham kit :wideyed:
