This (even though it's still fucking pie in the sky) yesterdays performance from the team, the lack of quality and the holes in the squad. I'm sorry but I reckon we're genuinely facing a properly shit season ahead.

Yep- the usual bollocks about Levy getting himself into a position of relative strength only to get cold feet. I’m not surprised though- we looked dreadful yesterday and if that continues even with a very good, but very expensive player you can understand why Bale becomes a greater financial risk. I feel disappointedly, yet predictably flaccid

problem is we are falling behind the others! He is going to have to take risks in the market and bale is a winner and offers us so much! If we don’t then we can kiss goodbye to Harry in a year and wouldn’t shock me if a few others want to leave as well if we don’t get Top 4 and a Trophy!
Other clubs will be looking at us and thinking we can take Son & Kane in a years time if they don’t get CL and a trophy

Absolutely agree

I want Bale to come but watching yesterdays performance, Bale is just one piece. He will be a free no doubt if he joins us but the wages will take up wages from other areas of the team.

Sadly, so very predictable.

They are desperate for someone to take him off their hands by the sounds of things. If a deal is easier with Man U than us then they will do ti.

But as usual with Man U, they are linked to so many players it is hard to know if there is any truth in it at all. A bit like us but on a larger scale.

At least he will take his wages and earn them, there were a few out there today that were getting their wages without doing bugger all to earn them.

Typical of Levy, just shits himself at the last moment.

I don’t buy into the “we can’t afford it bollocks”. We have one of the lowest spends in the league for wages, we’ve offloaded players on decent money and will probably look to offload more.

We’ve spent fuck all in comparison to others over the past 4/5 years and been “regulars” in the champions league even reaching the final. I know full well il get people qoutinh about the stadium, but we are told that is separate with payments for £30m a year. Arsenal probably pay more than that for Pepe. If it is the problem than he needs to sack himself for not sorting the naming rights to it.

I was a fully paid up member of the BSoDL but my patience in the way this club operates in the transfer market is rapidly wearing thin.

Hope Levy takes the risk, and if our finances are looking horrible in a years time, sell Dele or Winksy (or Kane if he finally wants out:unsure:)

At least we'd be having a crack

We need this signing. The risks are there, and until now I was unsure about it.

But man, we need the lift. The fans, the club, the players, and Jose.

A unifying force. Do it Daniel.

It would be sickening to see him in their kit, or any other PL teams'
My only hope here is that the enormous backlash that Levy will face if we could have signed him and he goes to a pl team might be enough to pressure him into getting this done. But the Amazon doc did nothing to increase my confidence in Levy and Hitchen's abilities to pull their finger out and get a deal like this done when it's needed.

This is exactly where I am, I have been sympathetic to Levy for years and laughed at some fans expectations. My patience is gone though, I can't make any more excuses. Last season showed we clearly needed both fresh blood and quality. He got rid of Poch, rightly or wrongly but to bring in a new manager and not give them the players they need is inexcusable. Money is tight, I get that. We are never going to sign the best in the world, and I don't expect that.

But, particulary after least seasons shit show to go into the new season without back up for Harry is insane. Had it not been for lockdown, we would have finished the season without Kane or Son. If that did not ring alarm bells I do not what will.

"Lessons have been learnt"

By all except the SC members who still have hope, and it is the hope that kills you.
