If Gards says Miilk and Daka are NOT our top targets..

Left us wondering if anyone better, could it be Messi and Ronaldo????..

And can u imagine the scenes at end of the day, it's Ings and Deeney.

I guess Bale, originally a left back, would fit perfect in Mourinhos style of play. He can defend and would be a perfect brick in the counter attacks.

I know we get linked to him every summer, but something feels different this time. Not saying it will happen, but just feels like to me this is the window to get it done if we (the club) want it and feels more likely this time around.

I don't think he truly wanted to leave before but this time both he and Madrid want to split. Likelihood is someone else offers more from us but I do think hes leaving.

I believe IF we have the slightest chance of signing Bale, it means that Ndombele is leaving.

I don’t think for one second that Levy would even entertain the idea of paying another player in the region of £200k+ a week, unless he can get rid of a similar amount from the wage bill first.

The club has always operated on a strict wage budget, and I can’t see that changing with a £1bn stadium to pay for & COVID limiting our gate receipts under ENIC’s ownership.

Perhaps a season long loan swap of Bale/Ndombele would be the answer..

Knowing Mourinho I would be amazed if he passed up the opportunity if it was there.

Jose's been keen on him throughout his whole career hasn't he? I'm sure there was a video of them together years ago with Jose telling him to come and play for him. I could be getting him confused with someone else though - maybe Dier?

And there's this from a few years ago:

"I can't sign you because you don't talk".

Funny how Bale's started talking in the media recently.

ha! even if Bale did want to return to England, I doubt his vision of himself is as the bloke who will be....putting in a shift...to protect Ben Davies

I’m so concerned about the levels of getting excited that inevitably lead to the spitting feather levels of anger.

For reals lads, please be kind to yourselves. About both Bale and Daka.

I want both

I'm reluctant to post much on this, because I don't want a plethora of SCers loved ones blaming me for the demise of their significant others. That said it's moving in the right direction and I'd say it's now more than 0%.

Still a long long way off, but its moving slowly in a positive direction.

Sorry, am I beating off or topping myself?
