So instead of moving him we should keep a player who was consistently good four years ago for half a season and Injury prone?And he’s had a pretty bad injury list since then hasn’t he. It’s not like he’s been available every single game since 2016 has it.
Why? What is the point of keeping hold of him? He is never going to get better. He is 28 years old now and should be at his peak. A couple of more seasons and any value he holds is eradicated which was the same mistake we made with Toby and Jan and Eriksen. We need to learn to move players on at the right time rather then harping on about how good they were in the past.
