Thank fuck . I was worried our midfield would have PEH and skipp in it . Never wanna see that pair start another prem game together

Didn't realise he had a knock, got a fright when I checked the team sheet just now.

We were very good without him, but he or Maddison (or even Lo Celso) could have made the difference.

Was hoping he would own the 10 role tonight but it just didn’t click for him. At all. Certainly would try him there again but currently I’m not entirely sure what his best position is. I was leaning towards him being Maddison’s understudy if Gio where to leave in the summer but performances like tonight make me think again. Certainly not writing him off but not sure what position he is long term.

For the time being I think he's a more effective RW than Brennan, but (obviously) a less effective 10 than Maddison or Gio. With Maddison returning it makes sense to me to move him back to the right where he has some goal threat and take Brennan out of the firing line for bit. Long term I feel the same though. He seems to have 90% of the skill set for both 10 and RWF, but lacks the cutting edge in both that will put him in the top bracket.

Tonight was not a great night for anyone let's be honest.
The team movement and dynamism was not there.
. The worst part of his performance for me was that he mostly found himself in areas of the pitch where he is just not effective. (Left mid/wing) and with little option but to turn back

We've seen what he can do in the 10 against other teams but city ran us into the ground tonight and took the third man running out of us early.

Looked so much better when shifted wide and actually saw more of the ball and looked more dangerous.
KDB was 23 when Chelsea let him go, think we need to give him time at RW with the odd game through the middle and just watch him flourish further down the line.
The quality is there, maybe just needs a bit more game time/experience.

He was rough today. 3 weeks since he’s played a real game and coming off an illness. So be it. Better days ahead.

Not sure what he was doing until he was shifted to the wing. Might have been better playing a three man midfield instead.

For me he is just not good enough to play 10, a decent RW but doesn’t have the skill set or vision to be effective at 10.

Thought the main issue was he was left side playing like an 8. He typically looks better the other side coming inside onto his left. Either on the wing or central on that side. It kind of reminded me a bit how Sarr looked playing there at Wolves. He didn't really play the central 10 role but think it's largely down to the opponent and trying to match them in midfield.

I love him, think he can offer so much, but he wasn’t great today in that 10 position.
