Isn’t it completely unethical to be dealing with Russian clubs at the moment? Very strange considering we’ve got a ‘game for Ukraine’ coming up

Honestly think the same, as much as I want that kind of money for Dav, there should be other solutions than bloody Russia...

Personally, yeah i agree and i wouldn't do it - but then i wouldn't be entertaining any state owned takeover of our club either, yet there are plenty of fans happy to go down that route.

Devil's advocate here but you could argue it's unethical to be dealing with Saudi clubs as well, but none of the top European clubs seem to have a problem with that.

Strikes me as having more about him than to go to Russia, both in terms of ability, and just as a person, so I hope I've not read him wrong.

Difficult one. On the one hand it's wrong to assume all Russian people or institutions support the war but clearly it does raise many questions and ideally would be avoided. If we get into ethics though there's a certain state buying half the premiership at the moment which doesn't seem to be raising too many ethical questions

Hypocrisy / double standards of many subjects, especially corporations and woke culture is a fact.
Another fact is Russia made a fucking war in the middle of Europe and is killing civilians daily. And Russian football clubs are super tied to financing a war.
We should be better than that, regardless other clubs dealing with Saudis.

Saudi Arabia are literally committing war crimes in Yemen but the world turns a blind eye because of money.

Wasn't it reported Galatasary and Spartak offered the same why would you not go Galatasary instead? Also..... we got the greatest number 9 in tottenham history for Spartak!

Can we trade with Russian clubs?
do russian clubs have any funds to trade with? given they have no access to europe and a failing economy as well as any foreign exchange of currency being barred to them.

Where are Spartak getting €13m from?

I think if we were offering them mega money for a player that could then be used in the wrong way then yes. But taking more money out of their economy in exchange for a rather average player is probably a good thing.

Crap fee but need to start taking hits in order to shift the deadwood.

Good luck to Dav, always gave his best (y)
That's way more than I was expecting we'd get given the context. Have to snap their hand off at £10.5m imo. Even so, seem to get these sorts of rumours of deadwood leaving all the time and they often end up coming to nothing. PEH stuff seems to have gone quiet too?

Davinson have got a tough reception in North London at times, but being a black player in Russia comes with a whole different set of challenges.

You could argue that 12 million euros is 12 million euros and if there are no trade restrictions imposed and the player will go there does it matter!
