You are kidding right? Hugo as Captain has done so but there is no way the club will do so imo

Hugo said he'd never seen anything like it in his career, forgetting that the same thing happened with another of our own a few months ago.

I'd like all the popular players, Kane, Son, Romero etc to condemn it publicly. I'd like all PL clubs to start a campaign of changing the culture among fans. SUPPORT your team or don't come to the ground as you aren't welcome. You make the ground unwelcome for the opposition, not your own players.

From some supporters. Let’s get this correct. The vocal ones also singing we want Levy out. I asked the guy behind me if he had 4 billion spare? Easy to vocalise displeasure.
I said that to the numpty behind me .. he said he had £5

I used to go a fair bit in the 90s and I genuinely can't remember a single time we booed our own player on the pitch. It's mind boggling to me. I'm priced out these days and it's probably just as well as I'd not be able to keep my mouth shut.

It was the lowest point of the season for me. I hope the club come out and say that it is totally unacceptable to treat your own player like that.

We really are quite a horrible fanbase right now.

I remember Chris Armstrong and I think Stuart Nethercott getting the boo treatment back in the 90’s

Think the vast amount of booze and coke consumed has a lot to do with the behaviour of some "fans".

You can be sat at home, 10 cans of Stella and a bag of marching powder, and still not be a dick head. You can also be sat in the crowd, completely sober, and be a right knob. Some people are just twats. That’s life.

Of course some people are twats but drink and drugs lower inhibitions and make it more likely to act out stupidity no?

Because booze and drugs are a recent addition to football...

There's an entitlement culture among fandoms nowadays. That isn't something simply confined to football as we see a lot of it with movies. The people who booed Sanchez are no different to the morons on AFTV or Mark Goldridge.

Dunno, I've been a season ticket holder for about a decade and it seems worse now but maybe I just notice it more.

I'm not saying it's solely to blame, just a factor.

It could well be a factor but booze and drugs were around in the 90s and 00s when we were really shit and the atmosphere wasn't this toxic.

Fans are idiots for booing him today, but do I feel sorry for Sanchez?

No chance I do, he must know he’s not at the level we need but yet again he’s another one of the core that are never in no rush to leave the club.

I’m not even angry with the fans that much, as it was going to happen it all again comes down to poor management and Levy.

If Sanchez played for Chelsea they’d just write off the money and sell him on for 15/20 million knowing he’s not good enough, however us we don’t we leave him here and pray for a miracle in the mean time we even hand out contract extensions as soon as they string 2/4 good games together to protect their value……and that says it all about this club every other big club has players we have “Assets” because we aren’t a football club we are a business that is here to earn revenue and avoid losses we are run like you’re standard property management group.
Worrying how you're getting dislike ratings on this - you're spot on in every aspect. Some of our fans cannot accept the truth?

It might be an unpopular opinion but there was a time when Sanchez looked like a decent young player, playing in a good team, managed by a good manager. He’s been at the club a long time now and as far as I’m concerned that makes him one of our own and he needs looking after or we sell him, whatever the decent thing to do by him is. I’ve never booed a Spurs player or the Spurs team and never will - I certainly won’t give dogs abuse and force a grown man to cry. The shame of it.

It’s the social media generations. They think they can express their opinion in any way they want with no consequence. They probably laughed when they saw Davinson wiping away a tear. We’re turning into a heartless society.

Yep. We’ve gone through so many lows at spurs fans but I had never considered stopping supporting us until I heard the fans booing him today.
Lad in front of me, complete tool, booed sanchez onto the pitch and all game until he booed him off !!! Told him to STFU, and FO home if he couldnt support the team, i get it, the frustration of watching this at the moment. But to take it out on one player who is obviously low on confidence anyway, is every thing i hate sometimes about some of our so called supporters.

Last (and only time) I did that was against Coventry away. We had just been beaten 4-0 and the whole (quite sizeable) away support we’re singing Not fit to wear the shirt at our team. Calderwood had the temerity to come over and give the crowd the finger. Don’t think he ever really played for Spurs again after that. Still think he’s a **** to this day. And I was close when Ndombele was subbed against Morecambe?

Ah, those were the days eh?

My seat is in the East stand, and from there it sounded like the entire South Stand was booing. The volume was as shocking as the act was shameful.
And yet those of us in South stand thought differently. I am not saying that there wasn’t any in the South stand booing. But there were non around me and I am on the edge of the main singing and it did not come from there. As I said to us it was a muted booing.

If you look at the comments about Sanchez and the team on social media you can get a feel for the types of people that boo and shout abuse in stadiums - Neanderthal’s

These aren’t the types that have the ability to think constructively, they act on emotion - Player make mistake, player bad, angry now.

It would be great but I don’t think there is a way to eliminate it from stadiums, idiots exist, they sometimes have money and can gain entrance to Levy Dome.

What we need is a manager that knew it wasn’t the right time to stick Dave on. Why were we playing 5 defenders against Bournemouth anyway?
