Have to say Iam really starting to hate a lot about this club I’ve loved all my life. The owners have sucked all the joy from the club and some of the fans are a joke abusing players at the ground then online. I’ll say fair play to them for keep paying the 60 odd quid a ticket but abusing your own is wrong and always will be, it’s become so easy to not bother going this season.

Fans are idiots for booing him today, but do I feel sorry for Sanchez?

No chance I do, he must know he’s not at the level we need but yet again he’s another one of the core that are never in no rush to leave the club.

I’m not even angry with the fans that much, as it was going to happen it all again comes down to poor management and Levy.

If Sanchez played for Chelsea they’d just write off the money and sell him on for 15/20 million knowing he’s not good enough, however us we don’t we leave him here and pray for a miracle in the mean time we even hand out contract extensions as soon as they string 2/4 good games together to protect their value……and that says it all about this club every other big club has players we have “Assets” because we aren’t a football club we are a business that is here to earn revenue and avoid losses we are run like you’re standard property management group.

It’s a shame what happened today.

Unfortunately for him he epitomises the key failure of the club over the past few years - not shifting deadwood, failing to refresh the squad and the retention and consistent flogging the last ounce out of players who are nowhere near good enough.

He’s basically the poster boy for the the failures of ENIC, and lack of care they have shown to the football side of the club.

Ultimately this is on the ownership, not Davinson. However we have a raging fan base who has had enough of our incompetence. So, DS coming on, playing poorly and us losing was just always going to lead to a horrible reaction from the fans.

Your not getting 15/20m for him, which is why hes still here.

He should have been let go on a free to anybody that can cover the loss in wages that ultimately he would suffer by moving on.

And this should have happened 2 years ago.

Dont agree with the booing at all but this is the fault of Levy.

He got the ball around the halfway line today and carried it forward and the crowd booed him. Arseholes and cretins I might even be tempted to say fucking arseholes and cretins.
As it happens strictly speaking the two goals weren't in any way directly down to him but there you are., I don't suppose anyone wants to hear that.
I mean, he literally assisted one of them, but ok. Don't agree with the booing but no need to bury your head in the sand about how awful he is.

That is a ridiculous ate come on. There is only one reason to criticise a player for and that is if they dont put in 100% effort. Anything else i.e. playing them is down to the Manager.

Is he not at the level we need our players to be? yes absolutely but is it his fault that he is out there on the pitch? No.

It’s not his fault he is selected no, not at all but look he’s been a bit part player here for years he’s just happy to sit around and take a wage, look at players like Bergwijn bit part player but had the ambition to go when it didn’t go his way where he could have just sat here playing the odd game.

The fans are a disgrace. Sorry but its unacceptable. Anyone excusing this needs to have a serious word with themselves
We can’t excuse it at all, but I think we can all be honest enough and see why it’s happened.

I think our next game it’s important that he gets a cheer if he’s in the squad but if the manager is silly enough to use him again he needs to give his head a wobble as he will continually cost us. But that’s not Davisons fault.

mad how little info you have about a person's ambition, intention, personality, opportunities, conscientiousness, etc etc but can still draw a concrete conclusion on all that shite you said based on the fact that we didn't play bergwijn much and then someone bought him

Doesnt deserve booing, but i guess for many its just emotions and venting because of the shit show we are seeing on and off the pitch from this club.
That being sad, Sanchez needs to be offloaded as soon as possible. Hes not good enough. He will not come good. Been here for ages. Ive had it. How come managers, sportsdirectors and fucking levy hasnt seen what we all have seen?

No, I know what you are saying but surely as a top level athlete you need that fire in you that you want to be the best not just accept being sat on the bench he’s had a few chances to leave it’s not just him there’s about 4/5 players the club who are the same.

I suppose everything needs to be woth the context of frustration around the club and what has been going on this season.

I didn’t boo him today, I’d never do that to any of our players, but you could feel the frustration after taken the lead, gifting the other team, not one, but two goals - it’s happened so bloody often, so unfortunate for Sánchez too I suppose.

atill not right, but it’s how I kinda figured it in my head

Any fan that booed his every touch today and cheered him off while he was in tears should quite frankly naff off and support Man City or another plastic club.

We don’t need that kind of plastic, toxic ‘support’ anywhere near our club. I don’t care how frustrated people might be with the club and Levy etc, you don’t take it out on one player like that.

I’ve been going to Spurs since I was just under 3 years old.

I’m not sure I’ve ever felt as upset and ashamed of our supporters as I am today.

Sorry to linger on the Sanchez thing but it’s really in my head, I’m so upset with the reaction. I always took pride in our fans especially when we were rubbish in the 90s but today is a low point in my life supporting us.

I dont think he is not wanting to go but surely it depends also on circumstance. Perhaps no one wanted him, perhaps Conte wanted to keep him, perhaps Al Nassr were the only ones wanting him and he didnt want to live in Saudi. I have no idea. We do need to rid ourselves though of the players we dont need any longer.

Anyways - I do think he definitely wants go now after that debacle today

Were the fans booing the player or the tactics? I wasn’t at the game but I just think fans are sick of our negativity rather than the individual player.

edit: see that it was happening during play as well

He got a foot to the ball to take it off their player's foot and the ball ran into the path of another player but the ball was lost and the damage done before he got involved.

An end result of the toxicity and terrible situation we are in at the moment. Coaches should not have exposed him like that, fans know he's finished and have no edge any more, how can't professional coaches? Years on the bench make you rot.

Not pleasant, but I'm not going to sit on my high horse and condemn those that booed. This is just human nature given the situation. Those in charge of the club at several levels are to blame, and they better get their finger out and make better decisions going forward.

People being frustrated is fine but if they engaged their brains for two mins they would realise it's not his fault at all. He's a player who is trying his best. Is he good enough? No. But he should be here. Look at the reason he is and direct your energy there but not at our own players.
